HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of December 18,1989 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Transfer of Funds for the forth quarter 1989 Health District Contribution in the amount of $30,439.75. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of David Ponozzo of the Sheriff Department at $1893 per month effective December 1,1989. The Commissioners were notified that Sharon Hopperstad of the Pros- ecuting Attorney's Office was resigning effective December 15,1989. The Commissioners approved the salary of Jolene Hines of the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center at $920.00 per month effective January 1,1990. The Commissioners approved the salary of Kirsten. L. Jenicek of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office at $1,108 per month effective December 14, 1989. The Commissioners approved the salary of Leslie Gonzales of the Sheriff Department at $1,197.90 per month effective December 15,1989. The Commissioners approved the salary of Shirley Keenan of the Grant County District Court at $1,817 per month effective January 1,1990. The Commissioners approved the request for transfer in the Health District Budget in the amount of $650.00. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption of Jamie Aloysius of the Sheriff. Department effective December 15,1989. The Commissioners approved the Petition for Property Tax Refund of Larry Larson, Petition #34 in the amount of $66.13. The Commissioners received the resignation of Clyde Owen as a member of the Grant County Board of. Adjustment. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign an agreement with the Town of Coulee City regarding the services of the Grant County Building Inspectors. The Commissioners received the State Audit Report for the year of 1988. The Commisisoners signed a Dispatch Union Contract with the Teamsters Union for the 1989-90 year. The Commissioners appointed Bill Bailey to the position of full time Fair Manager effective January 1,1990 with the salary of $30,134 per year. The Commissioners appointed Robert Mosher of the Auditors Office to the position of Auditor during the period of January 1,1990 until such time as a permanent Auditor can be appointed. As there was no further business the session was continued until December 19,1989. December 19,1989 The Grant County Commissioners session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding matters of mutual concern. A Public Hearing was held regarding a request for Franchise to con- struct, operate and maintain a water system by Harold Hochstatter. A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Commissioner Goodwin that the Franchise should be granted subject to Mr. Hochstatter filing a Plat. The motion carried. The continuation of a Public Hearing was held on the adoption of the 1990 budget for Grant County. A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Commissioner Goodwin that Resolution Number 89 -125 -CC adopting the budget for the 1990 year be passed. The motion carried. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 12/18/89 in the amount of $269,802.37. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commis- sioner Chandler that Resolution Number 89 -126 -CC designating Michael Foss as a Mental Health Professional in Grant County. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commis- sioner Chandler that Resolution Number 89 -127 -CC authorizing the County Treasurer to cancel taxes which are uncollectable be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Robert Mosher to pick up a system disc for the Burroughs Computer in McMinnville, Oregon.
