HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of April 26,1993 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners signed the Request for Transfer of Funds in the Fair Budget in the amount of $6,950, $2,060 and $8,000. The Commissioners received notification from the Sheriff Department that the Grant County Civil Service Commission will not contest the continuation of provisional employees for longer than four months as those employees are receiving retirement benefits. Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the Liquor License approval of The Cove. The Commissioners approved the request of the Building/ Fire Marshal for an increase in the staff of the office. The Commissioners received a Summons and Complaint from Glenda Sue Hubler, et al. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. A motion was made by Commissioner Winzler, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 93 -28 -CC relating to the transfer of funds within the 1993 budget of the Fair Fund #116, Department #158 in the amount of $11,500 be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners received fully executed dispatch contracts between the Grant County Sheriff's Office and the City of Quincy, Town of George, Quincy Fire Department, Fire District #5, and Fire District #6. Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the intergovernmental agreement to provide for the allocation of $25,000 from the state Enhanced 9-1-1 account to assist the County in completing its Enhanced 9-1-1 implementation plan. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Winzler that Resolution Number 93 -29 -CC setting a Public Hearing for May 25,1993 at 1:30 p.m. regarding the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Grant County Fair Fund #116, Department #158 in the amount of $5,754 be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Winzler that Resolution Number 93 -30 -CC setting a Public Hearing for May 25,1993 at 1:30 p.m. regarding the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Admissions Tax Fund #125, Department #167 in the amount of $ 5,754 be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business the session was continued until April 27,1993. April 27,1993 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Project Agreements -Dodson Road, Frenchman Hills Road, Supplemental Project Agreements - Bridge #391, Bridge #392, Potato Hill Road, Reimbursable Work Requests -City of Grand Coulee, Free Dumping Success/ Failure. A motion was made by Commissioner Winzler, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 93 -31 -CC in the matter of initiating a county road project designated as CRP NO. 93-16 be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Winzler, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 93 -32 -CC in the matter of initiating a county road project designated as CRP No. 93-17 be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval #4-1 through 4-2 in the total amount of $16,809.86. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 93 -33 -CC setting a public hearing for May 25,1993 at 1:30 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current Expense Fund #001, Misc. General Government Department #125 in the total amount of $2,557 be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the month of April in the total amount of $202,301.71. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 4/26/93 in the total amount of $144,256.92. The Commissioners set a Public Hearing for May 18,1993 at 1:30 p.m. regarding the Critical Areas/ Resource Lands Ordinance.
