Week of January 3,1994
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with
all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as
written.
Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign Contract Number 1-94-622-8 between
the Department of Community Development and Grant County Department of Emergency
Management.
The Commissioners received a summons and petition for declaratory judgement
filed by the Grant County Noxious Weed Board. The matter was referred to the
Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
The Commissioners received a Claim for Damages from Michael Steffan. The
matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding the Preliminary Plat
application by Mark Lundberg of Carlton Development Group for 28 tracts one acre in
size on forty acres located in a portion of S6,T20N.,R26E.W.M. A motion was made by
Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that the matter be tabled until
such time as it can be discussed with the Prosecuting Attorney. The motion carried.
As there was no further business the session was continued until January 4,1994.
January 4,1994
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Resolution -Load
Restrictions, Financial Assurance Statement(Underground Fuel Tanks), Bid Authorization -
Cars and Pickups.
The Commissioners signed an Authorization to Call for Bids for vehicles, with the
bid opening to be January 18,1994 at 10:00 a.m.
The Commissioners signed a financial assurance statement regarding
underground fuel tanks.
The Commissioners approved the request by Grant County Mental Health for a
supplemental budget request in the amount of $89,408.
The Commissioners signed an agreement with Larry Angel for performance of
work on Grant County Comprehensive Plan.
A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead
that Resolution Number 94 -1 -CC in the matter of load restrictions on Grant County
Roads be passed. The motion carried.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors office January 4,1994 in the total amount
of $75,093.02.
The Commissioners signed the warrants list for the December Payroll.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 12/30/93 in the total amount of
$124,070.26.
The Commissioners received the original statutory warranty deed regarding the
property purchased from Jack Black, et ux for use by the Grant County Mental Health
Department.
The Commissioners signed a Contract with Tommer Construction for the 1994
crushing and stockpiling project.
The Commissioners signed a Contract with Frank Gurney,lnc. for the 1993 safety
project.
The Commissioners made their findings of fact, conclusions and decision in the
matter of Shirley Keenan comp time step two grievance.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until January
10,1994.
