HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of March 28,1994 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners notified the County Clerks Office that their request for the purchase of a ladder should be taken from their small tools budget. The Commissioners approved the salary of Thomas Percy of the Sheriff Department at $2,142.90 per month effective April 11,1994. The Commissioners approved the salary of Leslie Granger of the Sheriff Department at $1,528 per month effective March 29,1994. Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the Determination of Non -significance for the siting and operation of a Solid Waste Transfer Station, long-haul transport by truck and disposal of MSW and CDL proposed by Daniel M. Dietrich, Consolidated Disposal Service,lnc. The Commissioners approved the salary of Jay Atwood of the Sheriff Department at $2,467 per month. The Commissioners notified the Accounting Department that the Board of Equalization members would be paid $65.00 per day gross, plus mileage and meal costs for each day worked effective January 1,1994. The Commissioners approved the purchase of a laser printer in the amount of $728.62 for Superior Court from the Capital Outlay Budget. The Commissioners were notified by the Sheriff Department that Gwyn Scott of the Sheriff Department terminated employment on March 18,1994. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 94 -43 -CC proclaiming April as Drug -Free Grant County Month be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 94 -44 -CC setting a public hearing for April 12,1994 at 10:00 a.m. in the matter of declaring County Equipment Surplus be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business the session was continued until April 29,1994. April 29,1994 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with Commissioner Fancher and Commissioner Snead in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Project Agreement -STP, E. Desert Aire Dr. -Petition, Coulee City -Improvement of "I" NE, Project Application -Transportation Enhancement, Education Expense Reimbursement. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Voucher Approval #3-1 through 3-2 in the total amount of $16,639.01. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 94 -45 -CC in the matter of cancellation of unredeemed warrants be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the month of March in the total amount of $217,510.25. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 3/28/94 in the total amount of $111,597.85. A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 94 -46 -CC amending Grant County Justice Court Plan by adding the Town of Coulee City be passed. The motion carried. A Public Hearing was held regarding the proposed preliminary plat request by Vern L. Cox for an eleven lot subdivision of 14.308 acres in a portion of S16,T14 N.,R23E.W.M. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that the matter be continued to April 12, 1994 at 1:30 p.m. The motion carried. A Public Hearing was held regarding the proposed zone change application by Mike Walker from Agriculture to "S-1" on 59.29+ acres in a portion of S35,T20N.,R28E.W.M., Farm Unit 160, Block 40, Moses Lake. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that the matter be continued to April 12, 1994 at 2:30 p.m. The motion carried.
