RESOLUTION ADOPTING
GRANT COUNTY PLANNING
COMMISSION FINDINGS

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been
advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a Public Hearing was held on April
6. 1994 on the matter of changing the zoning from "AGR (Agriculture)" to "C -G (General
Commercial)" in a portion of said Section 2, Township 14 North, Range 23 East, W.M. and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, having said
recommendation, has given notice this matter would be considered at their regular meeting
on May 10, 1994.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that this project
is within Mattawa's proposed Urban Growth Boundary.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that this proposal
is for the expansion of an enisting commercial land use allowed as a home occupation.
WHERE -AS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that this change
of zoning is for a practical application needed in this area.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have conditioned the
approval of said proposal on those stipulations required by the Washington State Department
of Transportation to upgrade the existing access to DOT requirements, all accesses have
current access permits on file, all drainfields be located as far from SR -243 as possible and a
traffic study be required if the business is a restaurant or cafe.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have conditioned the
approval on the release of the irrigation water allotment to this portion of land.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners for Grant County, Washington by this Resolution, amend the Grant County
Comprehensive Plan and Official Zoning Map for Grant County to the effect that the
following described property shall henceforth be zoned as "C -G (General Commercial)":
A portion of the Southeast one-quarter (1/4) of the Northwest one-quarter (1/4) of the
Southwest one-quarter (1/4) of Farm Unit 19, Block 26, Columbia Basin Irrigation
Project in a portion of Section 2, Township 14 North, Range 23 East, W.M., Grant
County, Washington a quarter mile Southwest of the Town of Mattawa.
