Week of August 22,1994
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by
Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk
of the Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as
written.
The Commissioners approved the request from Winona Campbell of the Juvenile
Probation Department for leave without pay.
The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Randi Ralston of the District
Court Department at BO percent of base pay for a Deputy Clerk I.
The Commissioners received a signed copy of Contract No. 3015-93904(1)
between Department of Social and Health Services and Grant County Mental Health and
Developmental Disabilities.
The Commissioners appointed Eli Garcia to a position on the Grant County
Alcohol and Other Drug Addiction Board.
The Commissioners approved the request for transfer of funds by the Grant
County Clerks Department in the amount of $2,500 from Regular Salaries and Wages to
Extra Help -Overtime.
The Commissioners held a continuation of a Public Meeting on the William and
Mary Sanowski zone change request. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison,
seconded by Commissioner Snead to set the matter for Public Hearing September
13,1994 at 1:30 p.m. The motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was
continued until August 23,1994.
August 23,1994
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Franchise
Hearing(Huck Goodrich), Bid Authorization -Damaged Vehicle, Contract Execution -Dover
Street, Haul Road Agreement -'S' SE & '6' SE, Vacation Petition, RAP Agreement -Mae
Valley Road, 95-99 RAP Projects.
The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids for disposal of
damaged vehicle #602, 1989 Ford Taurus, bid opening to be September 13,1994 at
10:30 a.m.
The Commissioners signed a Contract with Marchand Construction, Inc. on the
Dover Street project.
The Commissioners approved the Franchise Application of Huck Goodrich to
construct a water main.
The Commissioners received a signed copy of Interagency Agreement between
North Central Washington Regional Support Network and Catholic Family and Child
Services.
A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison
that Resolution Number 94 -96 -CC relating to the transfer of funds within the 1994 budget
of the Law and Justice Fund #121, Department #163 in the amount of $12,000 be
passed. The motion carried.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 8/22/94 in the total amount of
$186,156.93.
The Commissioners received a summons and complaint from Pedro V. Sanchez.
The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Jill Twyman of the Sheriff's
Department at $1444.80 per month effective August 22,1994.
A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Allison,
seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 94 -99 -CC authorizing an
appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current Expense Fund #001, Juvenile
Department #117 in the total amount of $25,000 be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners approved the request for transfer of funds requested by the
Data Processing Department in the amount of $24,380.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until August 29,1994.
