Week of December 12,1994
The Grant County Commissioners session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of
the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as
written.
The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Raymond Harrington of the
Sheriff's Department at 80 percent of control salary for a Corrections Officer effective
December 15,1994.
The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Michael Shay of the Sheriff's
Office to attend a class in Portland, Oregon from December 8 through December
10,1994,
The Commissioners approved the request for transfer of funds in the amount of
$2,274 for the Grant County Juvenile Department.
The Commissioners approved the request for transfer of funds in the amount of
$2,400 for the Cooperative Extension Department.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Bill Owensby of the
Assessors Office to Appraiser IV salary effective December 1,1994.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of William McClintock of the
Sheriff's Department to $2,462 per month effective December 1,1994.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Michael Pauley of the Sheriff
Department to $1931 per month effective November 1,1994.
The Commissioners were notified that Greg Hutchison had successfully completed
one year of service with the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
Chairman Snead was authorized to sign the contract with RAM Communications
for E 9-1-1 Mapping Services.
The Commissioners approved the request of the Grant County Health District for
Grant County's 1994 total contribution of $140,000.
The Commissioners were notified that the Dodson Road project was built in
accordance with the Plans and specifications and that all materials incorporated into the
project met contract specifications.
The Commissioners signed Form Amendment No. 4 of Contract No. IA -GR -9395
between North Central Washington Regional Support Network and Grant County.
The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and Department Heads
regarding the 1995 budget.
As there was no further business the session was continued until December
13,1994.

The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding groundwater
monitoring, curb project -Goodrich Road, supplemental agreement-BR.#358('5' NW) and
BR. #315(Martin Rd.), project agreement-BR.#234('2' SE), Replat of Lot 4 Pleasant View
Acres, 10:30 -Vern Cole('M' NE), and 11:00 -AI Lind/Tony Stadelman (Frenchman Hills).
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Department Claims Fund Voucher
Approval #11-1 through #11-184 in the total amount of $1,133,028.27.
Chairman Snead was authorized' to sign the approval of Liquor License for
Potholes Golf Course and special occasion license for Voluntarily involved parents of
Mattawa Elementary.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 12/12/94 in the total amount of $432,466.56.
The Commissioners approved the appointment of Dorothy Black of the Clerks
Office to serve on the ADA Compliance Committee.
A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner
Allison that Resolution Number 94 -143 -CC setting a public hearing for December 27,1994
at 1:30 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for
the Current Expense Fund #001, Clerk Department #105 in the amount of $14,057 be
passed. The motion carried.
A motion was mae by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Allison
that Resolution Number 94 -144 -CC setting a public hearing for December 27,1994 at
1:30 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the
Current Expense Fund #001, Various Departments in the amount of $372,955 be
passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners signed the Notice of Public Hearing set for December 27,1994
at 1:30 p.m. regarding the supplemental budget for Grant County Alcohol and Drug Fund
#115 from unanticipated state/federal funds in the amount of $2,755.
The Commissioners notified the Sheriff that the salary increase on L.ari Dahl should
be retroactive to August 1,1994.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Nic Dirks of the Sheriff's
Department to $2,612 per month effective December 1,1994.
The Commissioners approved the request that the Building/Fire Marshal Office
budget and Emergency Services budget be adjusted for wages in the month of
December for the 1994 year.
Chairman Snead was authorized to sign the Statement of Agreement for the use
of the Grant County Law and Justice Multi-purpose Room as a mass care shelter in the
case of an emergency.
Chairman Snead was authorized to sign the amendment to Employment Services
Agreement between Grant County and Career Path Services.
As there was no further business the session was continued until December
14,1994.

The session was continued at 10:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners spent the day working on the 1995 budgets.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until December
19,1994.
