RESOLUTION NO. 95 -79 -CC
RESOLUTION ADOPTING
AN AMENDMENT TO THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County has been
advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on May
3, 1995 on the matter of changing the zoning from AGRICULTURE to GENERAL -
COMMERCIAL in a portion of said Sections 31 and 32, Township 19 North, Range 29 East
W.M. and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, having said recommendation,
has given notice this matter would be considered at their regular meeting on , 1995.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners having requested additional
information have set this proposal for a public hearing on June 5 , 1995.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners having received additional
information have found that this proposal is consistent with adjacent zoning.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal
has freeway access frontage.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponent
shall comply with the requirements of the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District concerning
there present subdivision policy.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponent
shall comply with the recommendations of the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife
to include that if soil is to be removed from the stored spoils areas adjacent to the existing
irrigation ditch, denuded sites shall be protected from the invasion of noxious weeds and
revegetated with Department of Wildlife approved plantings.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found the proponent shall
comply with requirements of the US Bureau of Reclamation concerning wastewater and
stormwater control and all other applicable requirements of the Bureau's subdivision policy.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found the proponent shall
complete a traffic study prior to issuance of any permits. Traffic study shall be reviewed by the
Grant County Public Works Department for content. Proponent shall be responsible for any
improvements deemed necessary by the traffic study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners for Grant County, Washington, does by this Resolution, amend the Grant County
Comprehensive Plan and Official Zoning Map for Grant County to the effect that the following
described property shall henceforth be zoned as GENERAL COMMERCIAL:
The South half of the South half of Section 30, Township 19 North, Range 29
East, W.M. and that portion of Section 31, Township 19 North, Range 29 East,
W.M., Grant County lying North of the right-of-way of Interstate 90. Site
containing approximately 360 acres.
