Week of October 23,1995
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by
Chairman Tim Snead. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the
Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as
written.
The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff for out of State travel to
attend the Western Sheriff's Association Meeting in Nevada.
The Commissioners signed Form Amendment #1 between the North Central
Washington Regional Support Network and Grant County.
The Commissioners received Claims for Damages from Rosendo Chavez Ruiz,
Vicente Guzman Ruiz, Andres Z. Garibay and Maria Trinidad Chavez Ruiz. The Claims
were referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
A Public Meeting was held regarding the request by Greg and Marla Huff for a plat
alteration of one lot in the Larson Subdivision into 7 lots in a portion of Section 5,
Township 19 N., Range 28 E., W.M. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher,
seconded by Commissioner Allison to uphold the Planning Commission approval
according to the Plat map submitted. Findings of fact to be the same as proposed by
the Planning Commission. The motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was
continued until October 24,1995.
October 24,1995
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Resolution -Utility
Accommodation Policy, Call for bids -crushing, WSDOT-Haul Road Agreement, WSDOT-
Snow & Ice Agreement, Sidewalk -Larson Elementary, Salary Implementation.
The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids on November 7,1995
at 10:00 a.m. for 1996 Crushing and Stockpiling Project.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of William Halstead of the
Prosecuting Attorney's Office to Deputy Prosecutor II effective September 1,1995.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Alex Benjamin Hernandez of
the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to Deputy Prosecutor IV effective November 1,1995.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Jennifer Gunderson of the
Prosecuting Attorney's Office to 100 percent of a Legal Secretary I effective October
1,1995.
The Commissioners signed the Commercial Lease Agreement with Sunrise
Healthcare Corporation effective June 1,1995 for the old Juniper Ridge facility.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the month of
October in the total amount of $231,806.28.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 10/23/95 in the total amount of $147,531.48.
A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Fancher that Resolution Number 95 -127 -CC in the matter of adopting a policy concerning
the accommodation of utilities on County road right-of-way be passed. The motion
carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was
adjourned until October 30,1995.
