IN THE MATTER OF APPROVING I RESOLUTION NO. 95 -142 -cc
THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF MEIER' S
FIRST ADDITION IN A PORTION OF RESOLUTION ADOPTING
SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 20 N., PLANNING COMMISSION
RANGE 28 E., W.M., GRANT COUNTY, RECOMMENDATION
WASHINGTON

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been
advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on May
3, 1995 on the matter of approving the Preliminary Plat of MEIER' S FIRST ADDITION a 13.18
acre subdivision into 38 lots in a portion of said Section 32, Township 20 North, Range 28 East,
W.M. and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have set a public hearing for
August 8, 1995 at 2:30 p.m..
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have conditioned approval of
the proposed zone change on developer meeting all applicable requirements of the Grant County
Public Works Department.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have conditioned approval of
the proposed zone change on developer meeting all applicable requirements of the Grant County
Health District.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have conditioned approval of
the proposed zone change on developer meeting those conditions presented by the Grant County
Planning Department listed as follows:
1. Proof of acceptance by the City of Moses Lake for the extension of water and
sewer services.
2. Lot areas shall meet the standards as required by the zoning as outlined in the
Grant County Zoning Ordinance.
3. 5' perimeter lot easements for future electrical distribution facilities shall be shown
on the face of the plat.
4. Eglin St. and Biggs Dr. must be improved to current county road standard and the
right-of-way dedicated to the public and Northwest St. and Larson St. must be
built to County Standard.
5. Curbs shall be built along both sides of all access roads to match existing roadway
sections.
6. Direct access onto Patton Blvd. must be restricted for safety purposes. Therefor,
Lots 32 and 37 must be restricted to access onto Craig and Eglin St. and these
must be shown on the plat.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have upheld the findings of the
Grant County Planning Commission that the proposed lot sizes are consistent with the current
zoning classification.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal is
consistent with the Grant County Comprehensive Plan.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found the proposal is
consistent with the Growth Management Act.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that a Determination
of Non -Significance has been issued for this proposal.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal is
in compliance with the Grant County Resource Lands and Critical Areas Development Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners for Grant County, Washington by this Resolution approve the Preliminary Plat of
Meier's First Addition on the property described below:
A portion of the Southeast quarter of Section 32, Township 20 North, Range 28 East,
W.M., Grant County, Washington. A full legal description is included on the face of the
proposed plat.
