RESOLUTION NO. 95-139—CC
RESOLUTION DENYING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE COMPRE-
HENSIVE PLAN OF GRANT COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the
Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on October 4, 1995 on the matter of
changing the zoning from Suburban -Agriculture to Suburban -2 in a portion of the Northeast quarter of Section 24,
Township 19 North, Range 27 East, W.M. and;
WHEREAS, the Grant County Planning Commission made a motion for a recommendation to
deny the proposed zone change; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the properties adjacent to this
proposal are zoned Suburban -Agriculture and Agriculture and a Suburban -2 zoning would be incompatible with
these surrounding zonings.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the area is in productive
agricultural uses and a rezone to a suburban zoning is incompatible with fanning/dairy uses.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the area is designated a buffer
between the agriculture zoning district and residential development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Conunissioncrs for Grant
County, Washington deny by this Resolution, a zone change for the following described property:
A portion of the East half of the Northeast quarter; the East half of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast
quarter; and that portion of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter all being in Section 24,
Township 19 North, Range 27 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington a more complete description is
attached.

Constituting the Board of County Commissioners
of Grant County, Washington
The East half of the Northeast quarter; the Cast half of the Southwest quarter of the
Northeast quarter; and that portion of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter
all being in Section 211, Township 19 North, Range 27 E.W.M., Grant County,
Washington, described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter;
thence South along the Cast boundary line of said Northwest quarter of the Northeast
quarter, a distance of 79.78 feet to the true point of beginning; continuing South along
said Cast boundary line to the Southeast corner of said Northwest quarter of the North-
east quarter; thence Westerly along the South boundary line of said Northwest quarter
of ilia Northeast quarter, a distance of 400 feet; running thence In a straight line to the
true point of beginning.
EXCEPT that portion described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Section 24; thence South 000 33'50" West;
following the least boundary of said Section 24, a distance of 13311.00 feel to the true
point of beginning; thence North 89° 31'50" West, a distance of 660.00 feet; thence
South 00° 33'50" West, a distance of 396.00 feet; thence South 89" 31'50" Cast, a dis-
tance of 660.00 feet to the East boundary of said Section 211; thence North 00° 33'50"
Cast, following said East boundary, a distance of 396.00 feet to the true point of
beginning.
EXCEPT the plat of Mae Meadows, as per plat recorded In Volume 11 of flats, pages
46 and 117, records of Grant County, Washington.
