Week of December 27,1995
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 1:00 p.m. by
Chairman Tim Snead. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the
Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as
written.
The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding an Emergency Appropriation
and a motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Allison
that Resolution Number 95 -196 -CC authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds
for the Current Expense Fund #001, Board of Adjustment Department #127 in the
amount of $250.00 be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners received notification from the Wahluke School District
regarding their wellhead protection area delineation in accordance with State regulations
(WAC 246-290-410.)
The Commissioners received a Claim for Damages from Tamie Ferrall. The matter
was referred to the Prosecutor for handling.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval #12-
1 through #12-3 in the total amount of $18,029.52.
The Commissioners received a copy of the Resolution of Support for a gas turbine
Co -generation facility at Warden, WA passed by the Big Bend Economic Development
Council.
The Commissioners approved the Amended Investment Policy proposed by the
Treasurer and adopted by the County Finance Committee.
The Commissioners continued the hearing on the 1996 budget and a motion was
made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution
Number 95 -197 -CC adopting the amended 1996 budget for Grant County be passed.
The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Fancher that Resolution Number 95 -198 -CC setting land classifications and assessments
proposed for funding the 1996 budget of the Grant County Noxious Weed Board be
passed. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Fancher that Resolution Number 95 -199 -CC adopting the Grant County Noxious Weed
Control Board budget for the 1996 year be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for December in the
total amount of $233,489.70.
A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner
Allison that Resolution Number 95 -200 -CC relating to the transfer of funds in the amount
of $5,926 be passed. The motion carried.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed .in tneAuditors Office 12/27/95 in the total amount of
$236,451.56.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was
adjourned until January 2,1996.
