'4�Hk�2EAS, the Board of Coc�nty Commissioners of Grant County have heen
adv�sed by t�e Grant Caunty Pla�niug Commission that a public hearing dva� conducted an
Octaber l, 1.997 an the matter of changiug the zoning fram "AGR {Agricuitzare)" to "CFS
(Commercial Freeway Service}" in a partian of Sectic�n 33, Townsshitp 19 North, Range 29
East, W.M., Graut County, Washington (Farm Unit 136, Irrigation Black 4l.), and;
�E3tEAS, the Board of County Comm.issianers of Grant Couniy have been
advised by the Grant Caunty Plarmia�g Department that the Grani Ct�unty Plannin.g
Commission did noi have a quorum vote and were unable to forward a recommendation on
said r�aatter, and,
W�IEREAS, the Board of Caunty Commissioners, having sazci
recommendatian, have given notice this matter would be conszdered ai a pub�ic hearing an
November 3, 1�9'7, and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that #he �aard of �ounty
Commissioners af C,rant Caunty, Washingtan do by this �esoiution d�ny the zone change
request from Agriculture tc� Commercial Freeway Service on the following described property.
Fazm Unit 136, Irrigation Block 41, Columbia Basin Project except the North 77S feet
as measured at right angles from the Nt�rth line thereof, lacated in the East one-half of
Section 33, Township 19 North, Range 29 East, R�.M., Grant Caunty, Washi�gean in
the vicinity +�f the Couuty Road `O' l�tE/Interstate 90 interchange. Site consisting of
approximately 3S acres.
Findings aud Fac�:
1. The prape�ty an whieh the zone change is proposed for is within tlie Gol.umbia �asin
g'rolect and daes receive a water allotment.

3. The propasal does fall vvithir� a Critical Area as defined by the Grant County Resaurce
Lands and Critical Areas Development Ordinance.
4. The proponent h�s not presented suffieient evidence that changed czrcumstances in the area
of the subject property warrant a rezone �f the property.
5. The proponent h�s not presented suffzcient evidence that there is sufficient need in the area
for the types of uses allowed and size of Iots.
