RESCINDING EXEMPTION (4)
OF SECTION (2) OF THE
GRANT COUNTY SHORT
PLAT ORDINANCE.

lNHEREAS, By order of the State of Washington Growth Management
Hearings Board for Eastern 1/Vashington, Gran� County has taken
steps to bring the County into comp(iance with the Growth
IVlanagementAct; and,
ONHEREAS, The �oard of County Commissioners of Grant County
Washington in�ends to fully comply with the Washington State Growth
Management Act; and,
WHEREAS, The �oard of County Commissioners of Grant County
Washington adopted Resolution No. 96-108-CC entitled, A
RESOLUTION ADOPTING GRANT COUNTY'S PLAN FOR
CONTINUED COMPLIANCE WITH iHE GROWTH MANAGEMENT
ACT; and,
WHEREAS, Said resolution stipufates that, fhe Gounty will adopt
effective and adequate ordinances or amendments to existing
ordinances, to prevent lot spin-offs, land segregation9s, exemptions,
and other variances fha� contribute to urban sprawl in rural areas of
Grant County; anda
WHEREAS, Proper notification has been provided and subsequent
I'ublic Hearings have �een held by the Gran� County Commissioners
in order to provi�e the opportunity for public participation in the
process of rescinding exemption (4) of Section (2) Exemptions of the
Grant County Shor� Plat Ordinance; and, �
WHEREAS, A Public Hearing was held and action taken on Monday,
November 4, 1996 by the Board of County Commissioners regarding

rescinding Exemption {4} of Secfion (2� af the Grant Counf�r Sht�r� Plat
Ordinance in the Board of County Gommissi�r�ers Hea�ings Room
located at ihe Grant County Cour� House, Ephrata WA, at which time
any person or persons where aliowed to appear and be neard either
for or against the proposa[ ta resclnd exempiion number {4) of Section
(�.) Exemptions; which was su�sequ�ntly rescinded, fal��wing said
Public Hearing and formally reads as follaws:
"{4) F�rmstead: T'i�e subdivis�on which is created as a resul# of this
exemption may not b� re-subdivided for five years unless i� is in
accardance with this ordir�ance or w�th t1�e ordinance dealing with
subdivisions of fve or more Iots."
