l. Resolution 86-128-CC is repealed for Commissioner District 1 and 2 effective January 1,
2017; and for District 3 effective January 1, 2019.
2. Effective January 1, 2017, and updated January 1 of each subsequent year, the salary of ,
the elected offices listed below are established in the following manner:

County Assessor 51.5% of the salary for Superior Court Judge by the
WCCSEO
County Auditor 51.5% of the salary for Superior Court Judge by the
WCCSEO
County Clerlc 51.5% of the salary for Superior Court Judge by the
WCCSEO
County Commissioner 53% of the salary for Superior Court Judge by the WCCSEO
Cou�ty Coroner 51.5% of the salary for Superior Court Judge by the
WCCSEO
County Sheriff 63% of the salary for Superior Court Judge by the WCCSEO
or 6%higher than the salary set for the Undersheriff,
whichever amount is higher.
County Treasurer 51.5% of the salary for Superior Court Judge by the
WCCSEO
Since this action is authorized under the authority of the Board of County Commissioners,the
salary for County Commissioner will be initially impacted at the commencement of the next term
of office for each district.
3. At tha commencement of each subsequent year, Human Resources will provide written
direction to Payroll for the update of salary for impacted elected positions.
4. This resolution rescinds and replaces Resolution No. 16-184-CC and updates the above
salaries table.

Resolution Establishing Salary Levels

Request Summary:
To approve and sign the attached resolution establishing salary levels for certain Grant County
Elected Of�cials.

In my role overseeing benefits and employee programs for Grant � I Recommend Approval

Analysis Summary:
On November 8th, 2016 the Board of County Commissioners passed Resolution No. 16-184-CC —
"Resolution Establishing Salary Levels for Certain Grant County Elected Officials." Concurrently to
this action Human Resources has been working on compensation issues resulting from the resolution
of the collective bargaining agreement for the Grant County Deputy Sheriffs'Association (2oi5-2oi7).
It was necessary to address salary compression between the union-represented positions and�he non-
represented Command Staff positions. Now that this has been address, and in order to maintain
appropriate distinction between the of�ce of County Sheriff and the position of Undersheriff, it is
recommended that the previous resolution be amended to include the following language regarding
the salary standard for the office of County Sheri£f:
