attendance with the Clerk of the Board.

A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Swartz, to turn the bids over to
Vern Cummings, I'airgrounds Manager, for review and recommendation. The motion passed
unanimously.
WORK SESSION AND CONSENT AGENDA
A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Swartz, to approve items 2 and
3 on the Work Session agenda. Item i was denied due to the County's current budget concerns. The
motion passed unanimously.

Commissioner Swartz moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Commissioner Stevens seconded and the
motion passed unanimously, as presented below:

Quincy, WA 98848, from the Washington State i.iquor Control Board.
EMERGENCYMANAGEMENT
Building Permit Application from the City of Moses Lalce for Grant County Emergency
Management to place a g6' Rohn 256 Self Supporting Tower at their facility.

Amendment to Geographic Information Interlocal Agreement between Grant County and Grant
County Public Utility District.

Personnel Action Request Recommendation regarding the request of the Facilities and
Maintenance for an exception to the hiring freeze to hire:
1. 4 Temporary/Seasonal Grounds Assistants
2. 3 Temporary/Seasonal Office Assistants
3• 4 Temporary/Seasonal Treasurer Assistants
4. 2 Temporary/Seasonal Livestoclr Clerks
The Director recommends approval for the above 1g positions.
Personnel Action Request Recommendation regarding the request of the Prosecuting Attorney's
Office for an exception to the hiring freeze to hire i investigator position left vacant. This item
was denied due to the Countv's current budget concerns
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITYDEVE�OPMENT — B UILDING DIVISION
Request to surplus their Minolta Copier, model #MIN B/W/Do145o (serial #317739) and transfer
it to another Grant County office/department.
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval No. oi-1 through
No. 01-69 in the total amount of $88,478.73 as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.
As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the
auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the
auditing officer as required bq RCW 42.24.090, in the amount of $175,8�0.42 and $480,500.83, as
recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.
The Commissioners notified all Elected Officials and Department Heads that they were increasing the
Unemployment Rate from 1/2 percent to 1 percent effective January 1, 2oio.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until January 20,
2oio.
