The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 8:3o a.m. with all the Commissioners in
attendance with the Clerlc of the Board.
J STRICKI.ER, ASC UPDATE AND MISC. BOCC ACTION
A motion was made by Commisszoner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Swartz, to approve items i
through 1g on the ASC Agenda. The motion passed unanimously. Due to late arrivals, item i6 was signed
on i/i4/Zo and item 18 was signed on i/12/xo.
COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION
A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Swartz, to approve items 1
through 2 on the Work Session Agenda. The motion passed unanimously. Item 2, a hearing was
scheduled for February 1, 2010 at x:go pm.
L PENCE. INDEMNIFICATION ISSUE EXECUTIVE SESSION
Pursuant to RCW 42.go.iio (1)(i) Commissioner Carter called the session to order at 4�34 Pm to go until
4�44 Pm. The session was then continued unti14:48 p.m. Commissioner Carter closed the session at 4�48
p.m.
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
The Chair of the Board designated Carolann Swartz to serve as the County LegislaCive Authority on the
Canvassing Board for the Election to be held on February 9, 2oio.

Health's National conference from March i2 — i8, 2010 in Orlando, FL; and Darla Boothman to
attend the Anasazi National Conference from February 28 — March 5, 2010 in AZ.

Personnel Action Request Recommendations regarding requests from the following offices:
i. Superior Court to create an Assistant to the Court Administrator position, starting off as a
regular Part-Time Status employee and banded at Band 4.
2. Prosecuting Attorney's Office request for an exception to the hiring freeze to hire a Part-
Time temporary secretary.
3. District Court to restructure and reclassify two Deputy III Clerlcs to two Lead Clerlc
positions. These newly created Lead Clerk positions will be placed in the Compensation
Plan Structure at Band g.
The Director recommends approval for all g items.
FAIRGROUNDS
Held from January ,, 2oYo - Recommendation from the Director to award the bid for the
Fairgrounds new parking lot fencing to North Central Fence in the amount of $24,055•87
(including tax).

As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the
auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the
auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090, in the amounts of $r9�899•39� $1,224.66, $576�994•03�
$12i,869.6i, and $14,207.39, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.
The Commissioners approved and signed the out of state travel request for Karen Lewis to attend a SCRI
meeting from January ii — 13, 2oio in Portland, OR.
The Commissioners signed the Public Worles Claims Fund Voucher Approval No. oi-1 through No. oi-92 in the
total amount of $82�,523.1�, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers as presented by the
Grant County Health District: Payroll Vouchers No.1— g, and General Fund Vouchers No. 4— �g, in the
amount of $i�8,352•95� as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.
