RESOLUTION APPROVING A ZO
CHANGE
JEFF AND TERRY COCHRAN

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have bee
advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on
May 6, 1998, and then continued to June 3, 1998 on the matter of changing the zoning fror
"PF (Public Facilities)" to "CR (Commercial Recreation)", OSR (Open Space Recreation) ;
AG (Agriculture) on a 256+ acre parcel located in a portions of Secrions 27 and 33, Town
17 North, Range 23 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Counry Co�nmissioners of Grant County have
advised by the Grant County Planning Department that the Grant County Planning
Commission recommended approval on said matter with findings, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Coffimissioners of Grant County having
recommendation for approval, have given notice this matter would be considered at a clo
record public meeting on June 29, 1998, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Co�missioners of Grant Counry have
the recommendation far approval and findings of fact of the Grant County Planning
Commission;
WHEREAS, the Board of Counry Commissioners have found that the
does fall within a Critical Area as defined by the Grant County Resource Lands and
Areas Development Ordinance, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Couniy Commissioners have found that there is a
need for a Commercial Recreation amenities in the area by virtue of expressed interest of t
public and those residing in the immediate area, and;
WI�EREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found the property
have access to freeways, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found there is
police and fire protection„ and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant Couniy have fou
that the proposal is consistent with the Grant County Comprehensive Plan and surrounding
uses, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have
that a Determination of Non-Significance was issued for this proposal on April 27, 199
the requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act (SEP1�) have been met, and;

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the prc
has presented sufficient evidence that there is sufficient need in the area for the types of
allowed and size of lots, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found thax the public
interest will be served by the approval of this rezone request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Counry
Commissioners of Grant County, Washington do by this resolution approve the zone c
request from Public Facilities to Commercial Recreation, Open Space Recreation, and
Agriculture on the following described property.
The East 1/z of Section 33, Township 17 North, Range 23 East lying East of State
Route 243 and adjacent to Tract 211, and the portion of Section 27, Township 17
North, Range 23 East lying South of State Route 26, Grant County, Washington.
