,..��.-_ ::.�T�Ei�AS, the Board of Counry Commissianers af .G�ant County have been
-advised by tl�e- Grant��County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on
April 1, 1998 on the matter of changing the zoning from "IL (Light-Industrial)" to "CG
(General Commercial) on a parcel of property 90' X 200' located in a portion of the South
Half of Section 13, Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington,
and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Counry Commissioners of Grant County have been
advised by the Grant County Planni.ng Depart�nent that the Grant County Planning
Comtnission recommended approvai on said matter wgth findings, and;
WHEREAS, the Boar� of County Commissioners of Grant County having said
.- recommendation for ��proval, have given notice this matter would be considered at a closed
record public meeting on April 21, 1998, and; °- �-- '�
WHER.EAS, the Board of County� Coriimissio.ner-s of�Grant .County� Ha�e upheld
the recominendation :for approval and fmdings of fact of the Grant �Co�nty Planning

yWHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal
does fall within a Critical Area as defined by the Grant Counry Resource Lands and Critical
Areas Development Ordinance, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal
is within the irrigated farm units of the Columbia Basin Project, however the water allotment
has been released, and;

that the proposal is consistent with the Grant County Comprehensive Plan and surrounding
uses, and;
WHEREAS, the Boar� of Couniy Commissioners .of Grant County have found
that a Determination of Non Significance was issued for this groposal on March 16, •1998and
the requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) have been met, and;
WHEREAS, the Boarc� of County Commissioiiers have=�found that the proponent
has presented� sufficient evidence that there is sufficient need in the area for the types of uses
allowed and size of lots, and;
WHEREAS, the Boarcl of County Comm�ssioners have found that the public
interest will be served by the approval of this rezone reqa�est.

request from Light Industrial to Geueral Commercial on the following described property,
Subject property is cunently knc�wn as a portian of Pa�cels #12-0683-032 and 12-0683-033
and is described below:
The South 90 feet of Lots 2 and 3, Black 4, Moses Lake Industrial Park Plat located in
the Southeast quarter of Section 13, Township 19 North, Range 28 Ea.st, W.M., Grant
County, Washington.
