A RESOLUTION relating to a supplemental extension in the 2000 budget of the
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND#001 , SHERIFF'S DEPT.# 114
due to unanticipated state and/or federal funds.
WHEREAS,it has been brought to the attention of the Board of Grrant Commissioners
that unanticipated state and/or federal funds have been made available for the 2000 budget
of the CURRENT EXPENSE FLTND#001 , SHERIFF'S DEPT.#114
in the amount of $21,460
WHEREAS,RCW 36.40.100 authorizes supplemental appropriations from unanticipated
state and/or federal funds after publications of notice of the time and date of a public hearing at which
the supplemental appropriations resolution will be adopted,and the amount of the appropriation,
once each week,for two consecutive weeks prior to such public hearing in the official newspaper
of the county;and
WHEREAS,publication of the requisite legal notice was made in the Dailv Herald
newspaper of C�rant County on 10J23&30/00 and saidpublic hearing was held
in the Grant County Commissioners°Office, Grant County Courthouse,Ephrata,Washington;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE TT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of
GRANT COLTNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON,that the 2000 (year)budget of the
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND#001 , SHERIFF'S DEPT.# 114
supplemented and extended in the sum of $ 21,460 from
unanticipated state and/or federal funds according to the following schedule of categories and items:

The second budgetary e�e�sion requesi is fo�L,aw and 3ustice�t:nds. The Sheri�s
Qffce req�ested$6636 in 2000 far the purchas�of bal�istic vests. I3uring mid year, we
request a grant from t�e Bureau of Justice Assistanc� (B�A) and received grant fiandi�g
from t�e�ir�the amount of$6130.bg. This w-ill allow us to purchase the necessary vests
fc�r th�2QQ� �ear�vit�aout re�uesting�aw a.���ustice�unds ir�2t3�J1. ��e�e requesting
$6134.69 in Law and 3ustice f�u�ds, which will be reimbursed through the BJA vest a ant.
