The Grant County Comrr�issioners sess�on was called to ord�r at 9:00
a.m. by Chairman Deborah 1Vlaore. AIl of the Commissioners were in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commzssioners read and approved ihe minuies o� the pre�ed`zng

The Cc�mmiss�oners approved the request by Grant Coun�y Fairgraunds for a
t�ansfex af funds in ihe amount of $2,759.14 far the purchase of a neW
computer.
��.�. ��`� 7 The Cammzssianers approved the sia�-ting salary of Angie Ka�Isson of
the Grant County P.ARC at $1,872 per montl� effec�zve June 19, 20Q0.
��� �?�' The Com�ssioners approved the siarting sa�ary of Ferdinand A.
Nicholson af Distri.ct Court ai �1,47'7.60 beg�nnzng June 22, 2400.
��� �,�� The Cammissioners received the Notice of Separation af Kerxz M.
Spurbeck of �rant Caunty Disirict Court, effective June 30, 2a00.
����( �c� The Commissianezs approved the starting salary of Mu�-iel L.
Hardebeck of the Grant County Sheriff's Office at $1,722.57 per mo�th
effective June 12, 200�.
t:%�.{ �� � The Co�nmissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's C��fzce for
Lana Schimke to receive Iongevity pay effective (�ctober 1, 1996.
t�E���-----The Commissianers appro�ed the salary increase of Jaynese Rupke of
the Sheri��'s Offzce to $2,19b per monih.
��J��� The �ommzsszoners appraved the starting salary of Raymond J.
Linehan af the Juvenile Prabation C��ce at $&.50 per hour.
;�.�,� ��. The Cammissione�s approved the request by the Cran� County Public
Works Department ta sharten the advertisement pe�zod for the `U' SW, CRP
40-1, Recansiruc�ion Froject.
��{��� The Commissioners approved the request by the
purchase one Electric Toaster in the amouni of$1,200.

��- ���� The Commissioners approved the request by the Maintenance
Department for the purchase of an air conditioning unit in the amount of
$6,050 from law and justice funds.
��A� � o'tion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Snead that Resolution Number 2000-65-CC regarding GWMA purchase of
Deep Soil Sample Machines from GWMA WCC Grant #2 funds be passed.
The motion carried.
(�-� �`�� A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner
Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 00-66-
CC, Ordinance No. 00-66-CC amending Chapter 6.32 of the Grant County
Code by adding a new area for the regulation of the use, possession and sale
of fireworks, and other matters properly relating thereto be passed. The
motion carried.
t�-( �-� � A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner
Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2000-
67-CC relating to a supplemental extension in the 2000 budget of the Grant
county Prevention and Recovery Fund # 115, Department # 157 in the amount
of $5,000 be passed. The motion carried.
�t.�,( �,��. The Commissioners held a Public Meeting regarding the Re-plat of lot
2 of the Johnson Short Plat on Scott Rd. in Section 16, Township 19 North,
Range 28 East of Willamette Meridian. A motion was made by
Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison to uphold the
Planning Commission approval of the request with conditions and findings
as provided by the Planning Department. The motion carried.
i�� The Commissioners held a Public Meeting regarding the Re-plat of
lots 2 and 3 of the Walker Industrial Short Plat into three lots ranging in size
from 4.9 acres to 2.9 acres. The proposal is located at 13624 N. Frontage
Road, Moses Lake, in a portion of the southwest quarter of the northeast
quarter of Section 32, Township 19 N., Range 29 E., Willamette meridian
motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner
Allison to uphold the Planning Commission approval with conditions and
findings as provided by the Planning Department. The motion carried.
{�{ t�� The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding the re-adopting
of an amendment to the Grant county Zoning Ordinance relating to
permitted uses and restrictions, and other matters properly relating thereto.
There was no public comment, and a motion was made by Commissioner
Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that the ordinance be readopted.
The motion carried.
�����{.-.��'The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Joseph Kriete of
the Sheriffs Office to travel to Texas for an e�tradition.
��� �c�� As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 6/26/2000 in
the total amount of $355,373.38.
�� ��7A matian was made by Cammi�sioner Allzson, seconded by
Commissioner Snead that Resolution Numbex 2044-68-CC setting a Public
Hearing for July 24, 200Q at 1:44 p.m. relaizng to the fac�s requzrzng an
appropriation and expend'zture of funds for the Developmenia� Disabiliiies
Fund #402, Depa�tment # 17b in the amaunt c�f $113,923 be passed. The
motzan carried.
As there was no fuxihe�r business to came befare the Board the session
was adjourned until July 3, 2000.
