CRAWFC7RD JQNES{PROPUSED GENIE INDUSTRIAL CAMPUS PRQJECT} WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners af Grant County have been advised by tt�e Grant County Planx�ing Department that on January 19,2000,the Crawford JotZes praperty(propased Genie Campus Project), camprising approximately 480 acres had reverted back to its original agriculture zoning designation due to the lack of issuance of development permits on the Genie Project; and, WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissianers of Grant County decided to set an open recard public haaring to a31aw the landowner and the public a chance to discuss this matter;and, WHEREAS,the Board of County Coinmissianers of Grant County have advertised this public hearing consistent with the requirements of local and state law;and, WHEREAS,the Board of County Comtnissianets of C�rant County conducted at2 open record publio hearing at 1:3Q P.M. on February 15, 2000 in the Comrnissianers Hearin�;s Room in the Grant Caunty Courtl�ouse, in Ephrata,Washington on the matter of reverting the zoning from Heavy Industrial to Agriculture; and, WHEREAS, the Boat•d of Couniy Corr►missianers have faund that i�o develapment pertnits have been obtainad far the subject property in the time period specified by the January l9, 1999 decisian af the Board; and, WHER�,AS,the Board of County Commissianers have found that Getlie Industries l�as formally announced that it is no loXzger pursuing developrnent ofthe Genie Calnpus Project at this locatian;and, WHEREAS,the Saard of County Comrnissioners have faund that the prapanent has not presented sufficient evidence that tlie obligations autlined in the January 19, 1999 decision have been met; and, WHER.EAS, the Board of County Commissioners laave recognized the issue of � inconsistency with the comprehensive plan adopted on Septeznber 30, I999 and have resalved to address the issue af incansistexicy with the current comprehei�sive p.lat�desigziation durin�the ; tlext amendment cycle and shatl taka into account City of Moses Lake and praperty awner � cancerns. Page 2 of 2 IN THE MATTER OF REVERTING A CONDITIONAL REZONE BACK TO AGRICULTURE FROM HEAVY INDUSTRIAL CRAWFORD JONES , NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington do by this resolution recogniza that the following described property has reverted back to its original zoning classification of Agriculture on January 19, 2000 pursuant to a conditional rezone grantad on January 19, 1999 for the Genie Campus project(GCPD File#98-2620). A portion of Farm Units 145 and 146,Irrigation Block 41,Columbia Basin Project,in a portion of the East Half of Section 35 ,and a portion of the Southwest Quarter of Section . 36,Township 19 North,Range 28 E.W.M.,Grant County,Washington.
