WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session and discussed
changing the name of the Moses Lalce Grange Hall on the Grant County Fairgrounds;
WHEREAS, At the time of the dissolution of the Moses Lake Grange in 2001-02, the Board of
County Commissioners discussed with the remaining members of the Grange, the Board's desire to honor
the members of the Grange and the heritage of the Grange Hall on our Fairgrounds;
WHEREAS, In those discussions and in subsequent contemplation, it was deemed highly
appropriate and fitting that the name of the building recognize its history;
W__HEREAS,DeForest`_`Huck"_andNell_Fuller—were founding-or-iginal-mernber-s of-the-Grange-in
Moses Lalce and Grant County and remained active with the Grange, County Fair and Fairgrounds;
WHEREAS, The Stewardship of Hucic and Nell Fuller over the decades to maintain and manage
the Grange Hall showed exemplary dedication to our community, the Grange and our County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Board of County
Commissioners do hereby rename the Moses Lake Grange Hall on the Grant County
Fairgrounds to the Huck Fuller Building to honor a great citizen of Grant County, a great
Grange group and past members of the Grange. i

Re: Gxat�ge Hall
Based on notes in my file from meetings the Board of County Commissioners had with mernbers
ot'Moses Lake Grange#971 in 2001, the Board agreed to rename the grange ha11 at the
fairgrounds after one of the original grange members, Huck Fuller.
Huck, and his wife Nell, attended the meetings with the Board prior to Huck's death and were
very pleased to hear of the Board's decision. Based on the verbal commitment,the Board needs
to move forward and begin the process of changing the name of the grange ha11 to, The Huck
Fuller Building.
