The Grant County Commissioners session began at 8:go a.m. with Commissioners Stevens and Carter in
attendance. Commissioner Swartz was out and excused.

A motion was made by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Stevens, to approve items i, and
3 through 8 on the ASC Agenda as presented below. Item 2 was not ready for signature. The motion
passed unanimously.

After reviewing the 2 bids received on March 2�, 2012, a motion was made by Commissioner
Carter, seconded by Commissioner Stevens, to award the paper of record �o the Columbia Basin
Herald in the amount of $i.99 per square inch. The motion passed with 2 Commissioners in
attendance.

from the Clerk's Office %r an exception to the hiring freeze to hire
one Deputy Clerk II position due to a recent resignation. The

and Precinct Boundary Additions/Amendment Plan Adoptions
(continued from March 26, 2012)
The Commissioners continued the hearing from March 26, 2oi2 to review public comment that
may have come in regarding the proposed Commissioner Redistricting and Precinct Boundary
Changes. As no public comment was received, Commissioner Swartz moved to close the public
comment portion of the hearing. Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed
unanimously. Commissioner Carter moved to approve the Comrnissioner Redistricting and
Precinct Boundary amendments/additions. Commissioner seconded Swartz and the motion
passed unanimously. The hearing adjourned. (Resolution No. i2-o24-CC adopting a
redistricting plan; Ordinance No. 12-o25-CC adopting a Redistricting Plan pursuant
to the 2010 Federal Decennial Census, Amending Ch. i.o8 of the Grant County Code,
and providing an effective date; and Resolution No.12-o26-CC in the matter of
creating and rede�ning voting precinct boundaries and maps.)
