RESOLUTION DECLARING PERSONAL
PROPERTY SURPLUS FOR
DISPOSITION TO GOVERNMENTAL
AGENCY

WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.34.010, the Grant County Board of County
Commissioners has the authority to decide whether real or personal property owned by the
county is surplus to the needs of the county; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the RCW 36.34.130, the Grant County Board of County
Commissioners may dispose of county property to another governmental agency upon such
terms as may be agreed upon and for such consideration as may be deemed by the Board of
County Commissioners to be adequate; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriff's Office, pursuant to forfeiture provisions set
forth in RCW 69.50.505 obtained all right, title and interest in one 2000 GMC K1 Picicup (VIN#
2GTEK19T9Y11220947); and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriff's Office, as the Parent Agency of the Interagency
Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET), has determined that such GMC Pickup is no longer
suitable for the needs of INET, and has further seized and forfeited a more suitable vehicle for
INET use; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriff's Office has requested that the Grant County
Board of County Commissioners declare such GMC Pickup to be surplus to the needs of the
county; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the declaration of such GMC K1 Pickup as surplus property,
it is the desire of the Grant County Sheriff's Office that ownership of the GMC K1 Pickup be
conveyed to another governmental agency, the Ephrata Police Department, for the purpose of
working narcotics details consistent with the original forfeiture of the vehicle, and assisting
INET operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Board of County
Commissioners declare as surplus the above named GMC K1 Pickup, and that all right title and
interest in such GMC KI Pickup be conveyed to another governmental agency, the Ephrata
Police Department, for the purpose of working narcotics details consistent with the original
forfeiture of the vehicle, and assisting INET operations.
