Venita Trujillo,Spokane,came to discuss the First Annual Hometown Jam concert she has �
scheduled at the Fairgrounds,to occur May 7,2oii. Approximately 2 months ago she contacted
Peggy Fitch to schedule this event,signed a contract and paid a deposit. �o days ago,she was ;
contacted by Peggy at the Fair saying she has cancelled her show because it appeared to have gang
influence. The Fairgrounds staff has since placed an ad in the newspaper cancelling the event.
The daily activities, along with local performers,include local vendors such as Avon and Scentsy. �
It's an all day family event with 20%of the proceeds going to the Boys and Girls Club. j
Commissioner Swartz stated she would contact Vern Cummings and Sheriff Jones to discuss this I
issue and would get bacic with her. i

;I The Commissioners held a Closed Record Public Hearing regarding a Minor Zone Change/SEPA
� application from Vaughn Hunsaker of approximately 49 acres from Rural Residential 1 to Urban
Residential2,in order to malce the Zoning District of the subject area consistent with the
Comprehensive Plan Land-Use Designation,which was changed as part of the 2008
Comprehensive Plan amendment process. The subject area is located south of Winesap Rd and '
west of Malaga Dr.,NE,and is lbcated in Section 19,Township 1g North, Range 28 East,WM,
Grant County,WA. (Parcels#i4-16g�-000, 14-i691-ooi, l�-o756-ooi, i4-1693-000, �4-i693- ,

Commissioner Carter moved to uphold the recommendation of the Planning Commission and �
approve the application as presented recognizing the io Findings of Fact. Commissioner Stevens
