Damien Hooper, Pianning Director, stated the zone change waufd have occurred in 2000 with
the adoption af the original Comprehensive Plan. The area from Nwy 17 to Maple Drive, the

Mr, Hooper stated they could try to have the area rezoned with a Comprehensive Plan
amendment. The proponent would have to try to get a majority of the property owners of lots
in the area to agree to change the area back to Residential. They could not just change the one
parcel, which would be "spot zoning", and that isn't allowed.
Another alternative would be to pass a Code Amendment. This would take approximately 3
months. This would allow any parcel zoned Urban/L.ight Industrial to be able to move a
residential home on the lot if they fit the criteria.
