i. Vouchers for indigent defense, insurance, and/or grant
administration.
2. 2009 Professional Services Agreement, Part Time Investigator,
between Grant County and Calhoun Investigative Services for the
provision of investigative services for indigent defendants in
Grant County criminal courts. Term is September 8, 2009
through December g1, 2009.
g. Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R)
Program Grant Agreement between the Washington State
Department of Commerce and Grant County in the amount of
$903,000.0o to renovate and expand the fire station in George,
Washington (Grant County Fire District #3 is the subrecipient).
4. Request from Grant Integrated Services, with Hurnan Resources
Director approval, for the BOCC to authorize the issuance of a
County SCAN card to a contracted employee that is anticipated
to become a full time Grant County employee.

The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:0o a.m. with all Commissioners in

A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Swartz, to approve items i
through 4 on the ASC Agenda. The motion passed unanimously.
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
The Commissioners approved the Apri113, 20, 2�, May 4, ir, 2009.
As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the
auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursernen� claims certified by the
auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090, in the amounts of$2g�,285.i4, $2go.00, and $8,250.00,
as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.

Wenatchee, WA 98801, from the Washington State Liquor Control Board.

Out of state travel request for Karen Lewis, Sarah Smith and Carrie Wohleb to attend the annual
National Association of Agricultural County Agents meeting and professional development
sessions on September 28 and 29, 2009 in Portland, OR.
SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Grant County Traffic Policing for County Roads Agreement between Grant County and the
Sheriff's Office to provide accountability for an appropriate diversion of County Road Funds for
the enforcement of the laws, ordinances, resolutions, rules, regulations and policies pertaining to
county roads within Grant County.
MISCELLANEOUS ITEM�
The Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Facilities and Maintenance Director to award
the bid for the Courthouse Re-roof project to Arrowhead Roofing in the amount of $g2,9o9.5o which
includes a factory warranty and inspection upon job completion.
The Commissioners made a change order to the exit approach at the Grant County Fairgrounds,
requesting that it be widened to match the other approach south of the exit approach.
The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign the WRM properties (Warren Morgan Short Plat) File
#08-5122-01, Final Plat Submission and Review.
The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign a Joint Checic Agreement between Grant County and
Arrowhead Roofing for securing payments between Contractor, Subcontractor, and Supplier.
As there were no further items to come before the Board the session was continued to September 23,
2009.

OPEN RECORD PUBLIC HEARING, SHERIFF'S OFFICE BUDGET EXTENSION
The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing regarding the following budget extension
requests from the Sheriff's Office:

Fund #109, Department #15i in the amount of $i,i65.00 to purchase a Tonneau
Cover for one of their INET vehicles. Funding comes from their INET Suspense
Account.
Fund #ooi, Department #1i4 in the amount of $i3,i82.00 to purchase Office and
Operating Supplies and Small Tools using an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice
Assistance Grant FY2oo9 Local Solicitation.
The extension totals $i4,347•00. Commissioner Stevens moved to close the public comment portion of
this hearing. Commissioner Swartz seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner
Stevens moved to approve the budget extensions as presented. Commissioner Swartz seconded and the
motion passed unanimously. The hearing adjourned. (Resolution No. o9-o8g-CC)
