The hearing was scheduled for December 2, zoo8 at 4�3o p.m. OPEN PUBLIC HEARING SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND DISTRICT COURT BUDGET The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing in regards to the following budget extensions: 1. District Court Fund #1i2, Department #154 in the amount of $23,550.0o to fund a Case Manager and an Office Assistant position and to purchase UA leits/drug patches for the DUI Court using Washington Traffic Safety Commission Grant Funds; 2. Sheriff's Office Fund #ooi, Department #102 in the amount of $g6,000.00 to cover anticipated expenditures in their Professional Services budget. Commissioner Allison moved to close the public comment portion of the hearing, Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. Commissioner Allison moved to adopt the budget extension as presented, Commissioner Carter seconc�ed and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. The hearing adjourned. MISCEL�ANEOUS The Commissioners approved and signed the Contract Amendment No. 0863-4.4097-0� for �mergency Domestic Violence Shelter and Advocacy Services between Grant County and the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. The contract will increase by $15,000.00. As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42•24•o90, in the amount of $884,682.56, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board. MISCELI.�NEOUS The Commissioners approved the request of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to defend and indemnify Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Teddy Chow in a WSBA Grievance to the extent that he was acting within the scope of his employment and in good faith.
