Home My WebLink AboutResolution 15-018-CC' �k� BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Grant County, Washington � RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION RESOLUTION No. 15- v� �CC OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GRANT COUNTY PORT DISTRICT#10 (PORT OF MOSES LAKE),GRANT , COUNTY,WASHINGTON,AND THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE WHEREAS, Chapter 39.34 RCW,the Interlocal Cooperation Act,permits local governmental entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development of local communities; and WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, Grant County Port District#10(dba the Port of Moses Lake, hereafter"Port"), and the City of Moses Lake are vested with authority to enter into an interlocal agreement pursuant to chapter 39.34 RCW; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County,the Port, and the City of Moses Lake to enter into an interlocal agreement for the purpose of cooperative planning efforts,planned actions required under the State Environmental Policy Act for large scale aviation projects, and the application, administrative oversight,and other matters pertaining thereto under a Washington State Department of Commerce Advanced Planning Grant sought by the County for an aviation mega site at the Port of Moses Lake, as such activities and efforts are determined to be in the mutual best interests of the parties. 1�OW,�d�ItE�'O�,��I'I'�SO��I2,that the attached Interlocal Agreement between Grant County,the Port, and the City of Moses Lake be executed by and between the aforementioned parties.
