MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Via phone, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Clerk of the Board to stamp their signatures
on vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.o8o, and those expense
reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090, in the amount of
$462,070.92 as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.

salary re -banding was changed from Band 4, Step 2 to Band 7,
Step 2.
3. Commissioner Minutes for the week of July 5, 2010 for approval.
4. Execution of Contracts between Grant County and Central
Washington Asphalt, Inc. for $515,316.65 Rd 4 -NE

1. Contractor's Application for payment No. 1 in the amount of
$34,485.38 from Grant County Fire Protection District #3 for the
George Fire and Life Safety Facility. The Washington State
Department of Commerce grant no. is o8-1796119-003
2. Third revision of Amendment No. 3 to Contract No. 0963-68032-03
between Grant County, PARC, and the Washington State Department
of Social and Health Services (DSHS). The funds are to be used for
the coordination and prevention programs to prevent or delay the
misuse and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:oo a.m. with all the Commissioners in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION
A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Swartz, to approve items 1
through 3 on the Work Session agenda. Item 4 was not ready for signature. The motion passed with 2
Commissioners in attendance.
CONSENTAGENDA
Commissioner Stevens moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Commissioner Swartz seconded and the
motion passed unanimously, as presented below:

Commissioners Office Vouchers
Special Occasion license application for the Columbia Basin Rodeo Assoc, 3953 Airway Dr NE,
Moses Lake, WA 98837, from the Washington State Liquor Control Board.
DISTRICT COURT
Out of State travel request for Tony Ramos to attend Case Management Training offered by the
National Drug Court Institute (NDCI) from August 16-20, 2010 in Atlanta, GA.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Personnel Action Recommendation to change the position title of the Secretary/Clerk in the
Commissioners Office to Deputy Clerk. The Director recommends approval.
GRANT INTEGRATED SERVICES
Out of state travel request for Suzi Fode, Cynthia Cochran, Suhail Parrish, and Ellen Hunt of New
Hope to attend meetings in Vancouver, WA (driving through Oregon) from September 26-29,
2010.
J STRICKLER ASC UPDATE AND MISC. BOCC ACTION
A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Swartz, to approve item 2 on
the ASC Agenda. Item 1 could not be signed because the 21 day labor package was not received. The
motion passed unanimously.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign the Carol Spies Etal (Spies Short Plat) File #10-54o8-01;
and the Fox Vineyards (Vineyard Short Plat) File #10-5441-o1, Final Plat Submission and Review.
The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign the Fire Sprinkler Proposal between Grant County, the
Fairgrounds, and SimplexGrinnel LP for the Pavilion #2 Sprinkler System. The estimated amount is
$63,054.00.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until July 26, 2010.
