The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:oo a.m. with all the Commissioners in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION
The Commissioners discussed a request from Darrell Bolyard who resides near the County landfill,
requesting that Grant County perform and pay for water well quality tests. The Board discussed the issue
with the Public Works Director, who then responded by letter on behalf of the Board, stating the County
would start sampling and testing for markers unique to the constituents found in the contaminated
groundwater under the landfill. Additional testing would be done as indicated by the results of the initial
analysis.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until January 9,
2007.

The session was continued at 9:oo a.m. with all the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the
Board.
D POHLE. PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director. The Commissioners signed the following
Authorizations to Call for Bids: Equip. Contract 2007-o6/Rollers; Equip. Contract 2007-07/Patcher &
Auger; Equip. Contract 2007-o8/Sweeper; Equip. Contract 2oo7-o9/Rakes, Sanders, & etc.
Equip. Contract 2007-10/Concrete Vibrator, Pressure Washer, Air Compressor, & etc.
Equip. Contract 2007-11/Misc. Engineering.
The Commissioners held a bid opening on the Dodson Road Intersection Beacons project. A motion was
made by Commissioner Stevens to turn over the bids to Public Works for their review and
recommendation. Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Director to award the Dodson Rd Intersection
Beacons to Colvico Inc., Spokane, WA in the amount of $38,038.00.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until January 1o,
2007.

The Commissioners approved the recommendation to promote Lisa Padilla of the Prosecuting Attorney's
Office to the Legal Secretary III position with salary increase.
SHERIFF'S OFFICE
The Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer from INET Suspense Fund
(001.114.000.000.237.21) in the amount of $4,000.00 to Interlocal Drug Fund (106.148.000.521.21.45

Grant County Payroll Pick -Up Sheet for December 2oo6.
WSUEXTENSIONOFFICE
The Commissioners approved the request for out of state travel for Karen Lewis to attend an International
Fruit Tree Assoc. Conference in Australia and for funds already budgeted in the amount of $2,8o8.00.

BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign approval of the Special Occasion License Application of the
USA Mixed Martial Arts, 8427 Valley Green Court, Olympia, WA 98513, from the Washington State
Liquor Control Board.
The Commissioners approved the out of state travel request from the Sheriffs Office for one detective to
travel to Washington D.C. to accept a national award from the Executive Office of the President for his
involvement in the 20o6 National Marihuana Eradication Initiative.

As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers as presented by the
Grant County Health District: Payroll Vouchers No. 1 — 5, and General Fund Vouchers No. 6 — 61, in the
amount of $160,583.49, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval No. o1-1 through No. 01-134
in the total amount of $447,766.23, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.
As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the
auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.o8o, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the
auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090, in the amounts of $81,929.65 and 364,352.11, as recorded
on a listing and made available to the Board.
The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign Exhibit B Revision #2 and #3 between Grant County
Developmental Disabilities and the State of Washington Department of Social and Health Services
(Division of Developmental Disabilities).
The Commissioners signed a 2007 Professional Services Agreement between Grant County and Saul
Castillo, The Interpreter, for interpreter services.
The Commissioners signed a 2007 Professional Services Agreement between Grant County and Mike
McPheters, Basin Investigations, for investigative services.
The Commissioners signed a Professional Services Agreement for Legal Representation of Indigent
Individuals in Grant County Superior Court (Adult Felony Only) Full Time Contractor between Grant
County and Janelle Peterson.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until January 15,
2007.
