IN THE MATTER OF DECLARING
SURPLUS AND SELLING A Resolution No. 2006- 169 -CC
MOBILE HOME LOCATED AT FINDINGS AND DETERMINATIONS

LAKE, WA
WHEREAS. the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has the authority to sell real
property through RCW 36.34, and
WHEREAS, the real property is described as a 2000 Champion Oakland Cottage
Manufactured Home, TPO +390791, Senal #17005230875, a double wide manufactured home
with 1,344 square feet of living space, three bedrooms and two baths, forced air electric furnace
and air conditioning, and
WHEREAS, it appears to the BOCC that it is in the best interest of the county and the
people thereof that said mobile home should be declared surplus and sold under the limitations
and restrictions and in the manner prescribed by law, and removed from Lot 1, Pomeroy Park
Plat within thirty days from the completion of the sale, and
WHEREAS, the County Road Engineer did publish notice of the BOCC's intention to
declare surplus and sell the described mobile home once each week during two successive weeks
in a legal newspaper of general circulation in the county, and posted the notice in a conspicuous
place in the courthouse Both posting and the date of first publication occurred at least ten days
before the day set for the hearing, and
WHEREAS, a hearing on the proposal to declare surplus and sell said mobile home
occurred in the BOCC's Hearing Room, located in the County Courthouse, 35 C Street NW,
Ephrata, WA, at 2:00 P.M. on May 2, 2006, and all taxpayers in person or by counsel were
allowed to submit evidence and submit an argument, and the Grant County Assessor did submit a
memo stating the valuation of the real property to be $45,355 00, including well, foundation and
miscellaneous setup costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the BOCC finds that it is in the best interest
of the county and the people thereof that said mobile home belonging to the Grant County Public
Works Department is hereby declared surplus and directs the Grant County Treasurer to sell the

surplus real property under the limitations and restrictions and in the manner prescribed by law
and orders the Grant County Treasurer to deposit the receipts from the sale into the Grant County
Road Fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the BOCC hereby establishes the depreciated value of
said real property to be $26,755.00 excluding the well, foundation and utility costs and directs
the Grant County Treasurer to dispose of the surplus real property in a manner prescribed by law
for an amount not less than $25,000.00, and the purchaser of said real property shall remove the
mobile home from Lot 1, Pomeroy Park Plat, within sixty (60) days following completion of the
sale.
