Re: Coordinator and Facilitator Consultant
Dear Commissioners:
At the monthly meeting of the Columbia Basin GWMA Executive Board held on
April 26, 2001, Paul Stoker submitted his resignation as Chairman of the Executive Board
effective May 1, 2001. Since Paul has denoted a considerable amount of his time over the
past several years on GWMA issues, he is hesitant to sever his connection with GWMA.
Particularly at this critical juncture when the GWMA Plan is being prepared for submission to
the County Commissions, and to the WA Department of Ecology. The Executive Board
reluctantly voted to accept Paul's resignation.
In order to continue Paul's involvement with GWMA, the Executive Board voted to
engage Paul's services as a "Coordinator and Facilitator Consultant", and to offer him a
Professional Services Agreement which would compensate him for his time and expenses. A
request was made to have t e ounty Commissions accept this motion as a Resolution. Grant
County would be the contracting agency responsible for administrating the Professional
Services Agreement.
The term for this Agreement will be one year, during which GWMA expects to have
the Plan submitted and certified. Paul's help will he essential in that process. A copy of the
front page of the proposed "Professional Services Agreement" is attached below for reference
purposes. The position will essentially accomplish most of the duties formerly assumed by
Deanna Clarkson in her role as Project Manager.
We are asking for a formal approval of this action from the Commissioners in the
form of a Resolution. Please notifv me as soon a, that has been done Thank you for your
help in this matter.
Sincerely,
Lynn F. Hall
