Recitals: WHEREAS, the County Treasurer has recommended that the Board of County Commissioners pass a formal resolution for the collection and enforcement of Weed Liens; and WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 17.10.170(5), the Board of County Commissioners have the authority to require the County Treasurer to collect Weed Liens and to enforce Weed Liens in the same manner as delinquent real property taxes; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have previously authorized the County Treasure to collect and enforce Weed Liens; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners formally adopt this resolution to memorialize past County practices and procedures; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desire to adopt this resolution as the most expeditious and efficient means of collecting and enforcing Weed Liens; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON, as follows: The County Treasurer shall be required to collect Weed Liens and to enforce Weed Liens in the same manner as a delinquent real property tax.
