GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NUMBER 2001 -90 -CC
A RESOLUTION authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds
for the following department/fund: Fair Fund #116. Department #158
, together with a budget therefore,
pursuant to RCW 36.40.140.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of
County Commissioners of Grant County that emergency conditions require
that an appropriation and expenditure of funds be authorized for the above-
mentioned department/fund, together with a budget therefor; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.40.140, Resolution No. 2001 -75 -CC
Was duly adopted on 5/2, 1n, , and published in the _
Daily Herald on 6/1&8/01 declaring an
emergency and stating the facts constituting the emergency and the
estimated amount of funds required to meet it, together with a notice of
public hearing, and said public hearing was held thereon where interested
persons were allowed to appear and be heard,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF
WASHINGTON, that an appropriation and expenditure of funds is hereby
authorized for the following department/fund: Fair Fund #116, Dept. #158
In the total sum of S 56 , 000 _according to
the attached budget.
This resolution is in the best interests of good government and shall
take effect immediately upon its passage.

We are writing to confirm our phone conversation of last week concerning the 200 horse
barn stalls available from Yakima at a cost of $350 each, totaling $70.000.
We understand that the following Fair Capital Expenditures monies will be made
available toward the purchase of these panels:
Building cooling system improvements $ 3,000.00
Lighting in the Rodeo arena $ 5,000.00
Undesignated cost -share $ 6,000.00 /
Fair Association CD's $ 25,000.00
$ 39,000.00
Balance of assistance;
Commitment by Board of County Commissioners $ 31,000.00
The Board of County Commissioners can fund this proposal with the understanding that
an effort is made to excess or pass thru enough panels to recover the $31,000 expended
by years end.

RESOLUTION NUMBER 2001-89 -CC
WHEREAS, an employee of the Grant Mental Healthcare
Department is combating a serious illness and has exhausted
her total sick and annual leave benefits, and
WHEREAS, said employee currently is not in a financial
position to pay the premium of her health and welfare plan
and thereby continue her medical coverage, and
WHEREAS, many employees have expressed an interest
in diverting or transferring some of their accrued sick leave to
the account of said employee,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED and it is
hereby ordered that any employee who is interested in
diverting some of their accrued sick leave to the account of said
employee may do so in the months of June and July, 2001 by
submitting in writing to the Accounting Office the amount of
sick leave they desire to transfer along with their signature to
this request.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND HEREBY
ORDERED, that the total amount of sick leave donated shall
not exceed 120 days, and
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED AND HEREBY ORDERED
that this action shall in no way be construed to set a precedent.

RESOLUTION NUMBER 2001 -88 -CC
WHEREAS, the Grant County Commissioners set the salary for the Grant
County Prosecuting Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Commissioners have made a decision setting
the salary for the Prosecuting Attorney for the 2001 year, and
WHEREAS, the salary set for the 2001 year, beginning January 1, 2001
will be $8,390 per month or $100,680 per year,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the
2001 salary for the Grant County Prosecuting Attorney is $8,390 per month
or $100,680 per year.

WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the Board
of Grant County Commissioners that a new Employee position
should be established as set forth hereinabove; and
WHEREAS, it appears reasonable and necessary, pursuant to
the needs of the Superior Court Department
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 13Y THE BOARD OF COUNTY COM-
MISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that the
following Employee Position of CASA Administrator
is hereby created and established in the Superior
Court DEPARTMENT,# 103 , and the Grant County
Auditor is hereby directed tc e-Aablish said Employee
Position in the respective fund and department.
This resolution is in the beat interests of good government
and shall take effect immediately.
