RESOLUTION NUMBER 2001- 217 -CC
WHEREAS, the Grant County Commissioners have met and
considered the Current Expense budget for the calendar year of 2002;
and
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners, in the course of
considering the budget for 2002 have reviewed all sources of revenue
and examined all anticipated expenses and obligations; and
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners have determined that
due to funding needed to pay for the ever increasing costs related to the
criminal justice system, growth management, and other costs mandated
by the State of Washington, they find that there is a substantial need to
expand the regular property tax limit factor above the rate of inflation;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the
limit factor for the regular levy for the calendar year 2002 shall be 1.00
percent in addition to the increase resulting from the addition of new
construction and improvements to property and any increases in the
value of state assessed property, or the amount of S 7,172,960.
