DEVELOPMENT CODE REGARDING
AGRICULTURALLY RELATED
INDUSTRIAL USES IN THE
RECREATION DEVELOPMENT ZONE
OF GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON.
Resolution # 2001 -142 -CC
RESOLUTION APPROVING A UNIFIED
DEVELOPMENT CODE AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been
advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that an open record public hearing was
conducted on August 6, 2001 on the matter of amending the Grant County Unified Development
Code by modifying the "Prohibited" indicator with a footnote, for Agriculturally Related
Industrial Uses in the Recreation Development zone of Grant County, Washington, and;
WHEREAS, on August 6, 2001 the Grant County Planning Commission voted
unanimously to recommend to the Board of County Commissioners, approval of this UDC
Amendment request, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County held an open
record public hearing on September 4, 2001, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have been advised by the
Grant County Planning Department that the proposed UDC Amendment was processed in
accordance with the requirements of UDC Chapter 25.12 "LegislativeAction' ; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have been advised by the
Grant County Planning Department that the proposed UDC Amendment was processed in
accordance with the requirements of UDC Chapter 24.04 "State Environmental Policy Act"; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have found
that a Determination of Significance and Adoption of Existing Environmental Documentation
was issued for this proposal on July 12, 2001, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal is
consistent with the Grant County Comprehensive Plan: and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the public use
and interest will be served by this UDC Amendment

OF GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners of Grant County do by this resolution approve amending the Grant County
Unified Development Code by modifying the "Prohibited" indicator (P) for Agriculturally
Related Industrial Uses in the Recreation Development zone of Grant County with the following
footnote. (p30)
30 If the proposed use is "small scale" (as defined in
GCC 25.02) and contains a commercial component,
is complementary to the intended recreational and
tourist uses within the RD zoning designation, such
uses may be permitted subject to a Conditional Use
Permit, provided the use is found to be compliant
with GCC 23.08.230, and all other applicable
chapters and requirements.
