RE: Strategic Infrastructure Program (SIP) Request
For Healthcare Learning Center
Dear Mr. Campbell:
The Board of County Commissioners have dedicated much time and consideration to this
proposal in order to determine the appropriateness of dedicating these "Economic
Development" funds for this purpose. We have reviewed thoroughly your application for
funding assistance from our Strategic Infrastructure Program Fund.
The Healthcare Learning Center will be a valuable asset to the Central Columbia Basin
area, and we wish to convey our support for the proposal. At this time, with the funds
available we are able to offer a loan only proposal totaling $50,000 which would be
repayable over a three year term with interest waived.
It is important for you to understand that these funds are made available for direct
economic infrastructure projects. They are intended to generate near term job creation
and direct benefits to the local job and tax base.
We have concluded that even though the identifiable near term data may be of concern,
long-term stability and potential growth support is undeniable. We also believe that by
Grant County joining into the funding process it may boost your ability to find other
support.
We wish you success in this important expansion process. If you have any further
questions of concerns, please call us at 754-2011 ext: 428.
Sincerely,
fU
