Washington RESOLUTION: NOTICE OF HEARING RESOLUTION No. 2004 -Ob' CC IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING COMPREHENSIVE PROCEDURES FOR MANAGEMENT OF COUNTY PROPERTY WHEREAS, Chapter 36.34.005 RCW permits, pursuant to public notice and hearing, anycounty to establish comprehensive procedures for the management of county property consistent with the public interest and counties establishing such procedures shall be exempt from the provisions of chapter 36.34 RCW and WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) desires to sell surplus county real estate consistent with the usual practices employed by real estate brokers licensed by the State of Washington and other procedures normally found in trade practice as outlined in the attached Exhibit "A", and WHEREAS, a public notice and hearing is desired by the BOCC to permit interested parties to appear at a public hearing and be heard for or against this proposal or submit written testimony on the matter. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the hearing to establish certain procedures for the management of county property consistent with the public interest be held Tuesday, May 11, 2004, beginning at 2:00 P.M. at the Hearing Room of the ROC( County Courthouse, Ephrata, WA. The County Treasurer or his designee may select a licensed professional real estate broker using the procedure outlined in Chapter 36.32.245 RCW The contract for services shall fully describe the scope of work and property for which services will be provided by the selected contractor. 2. The County Treasurer or his designee may use agency forces using the procedure outlined in Chapter 36.32.245 RCW to process sales offers_ provided, the property mustbe advertised in the local newspaper nearest the surplus properl y and the newspaper selected by the county for general public notices. 3. The County Treasurer or his designee may alternatively use the other methods described in Chapter 36.34 RCW. 4. Other conditions described in Chapter 36.34 shall remain in effect. Page 2 of 2
