AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9.06 OF THE GRANT
COUNTY CODE BY ADDING GRACE, ACRES ESTATES TO
GRANT COUNTY'S "DOG CONTROL AREAS" IN WHICH THE
UNCONTROLLED USE OF DOGS IS PROHIBITED, AMENDING
THE BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION FOR LARSON SUBDIVISION
AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO.
RECITALS:
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriffs Office has requested that the Dog Control Area
encompassed by the Larson Subdivision by amended to reflect a street name change, increase the
ordinance area to include the Big Bend Community College campus and simplify the legal
description of same; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners (BOCC) have received a petition from land
owners from the Grace Acres Estates subdivision requesting that an Dog Control Areabe established
within their respective subdivision, regulating the use of dogs within said area; and
WHEREAS, the BOCC has determined that it is reasonable, advisable and necessary for the
public health, safety and welfare of the residents of Grant County to establish the additional
aforementioned area within the Dog Control Areas for Grant County, regulating the use of dogs
within said area.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT
COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, THAT CHAPTER 9.06 BE AMENDED BY AMENDING
SUBSECTION .030(7)(6), AND ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION TO SECTION .030.
Section 1. Grant County Code Chapter 9.06.030(7), adopted by Ordinance /Resolution 95-
39-CC on April 3, 1995, amended by Ordinance /Resolution No. 98 -7 -CC on January 27, 1998,
amended by Ordinance /Resolution No. 99- 143 -CC on September 13, 1999, is amended to include
amending subsection .030(7)(6), and adding one new subsection, to read:
(b) Larson Subdivision, more particularly described as follows:

(1) Grace Acres Estates Lots 1 thru 16, Grace Acres Estates Plat, as per
plat recorded in Volume 14 of Plats, pages 45 and 46, records of
Grant County, more particularly described as follows:
A portion of Farm Unit 151; Irrigation Block 40; Columbia Basin
Project in the NE 1/4 of Section 35, Township 20 N, Range 28 East
W.M.; Grant County, Washington
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect the 1" day of December, 2000.
A public hearing was held on the above ordinance at _ o'clock _.m., on the
_ day of November, 2000.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT THE GRANT COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS adopt this ordinance.
