THE GRANT COUNTY SOLID WASTE
MANAGEMENT FUND DISPOSAL
FEE SCHEDULE Revising Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to an Interlocal Agreement dated November 15, 1974, Grant
County was designated the lead agency to provide, operate, and maintain a County -wide Solid Waste
Disposal System; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to said agreement, Grant County acquired a number of sanitary
landfi',3s, other facilities, equipment and supplies, all of which belong to Grant County, in order to
establish the Solid Waste Disposal System; and,
WHEREAS, the funds required to operate the Grant County Solid Waste Disposal
System should be derived from disposal fees collected from users of the system; and,
WHEREAS, due to the increasing cost for operation of the landfill and meeting the
requirements of the Washington State Department of Ecology has created a need to set a minimum
disposal fee at the Ephrata Landfill, all other fees shall remain the same for 2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Grant County, Washington, that effective January 4, 2004 the fee for disposal privileges at Grant
County operated Solid Waste Landfill facility shall be as shown on EXHIBIT "A" attached.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County reserves the right to refuse to accept
any Solid Waste brought to any County disposal facility which is classified as dangerous or
hazardous by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency or any wastes brought to a dropbox
facility which exceeds the County's handling capability either due to volume or weight.
