RESOLUTION NUMBER 2003 -023 -CC
A RESOLUTION relating to the transfer of funds within the 2003 budget of the
ECONOMIC ENHANCEMENT FUND # 113, DEPT. # 155
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of Grant Commissioners that it is
necessary to transfer funds within the current budget of the above-named County Department(s) in the
amounts enumerated below; and
WHEREAS, there is no expenditure of funds not previously budgeted but a transfer pursuant to
R.C.W. 36.40. 100 and County and State auditing procedures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of
GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that the following transfers within the current
budget are hereby made:

Please prepare a Budget Resolution in the amount of $15,000, reducing the 508
Ending Fund Balance Account and transfering that amount toward the purchase
of the land referred to as the Sand Dunes Land, recently available for sale to the
County.

Thank you for your letter dated January 2, 2003, and received in our office January 6,
2003, indicating that you are offering Grant County right of first refusal on three and one-
half acres at the South End of Moses Lake that you intend to sell.
Grant County is interested in this offer, and would very likely anticipate purchasing this
property. However, your timeline is very short. It is necessary for us to contact the
Assessor's office and get an up to date appraisal on the property. It is also necessary for
us to contact the Sheriff s office and request their assistance in the purchase, as the funds
for such a purchase would be grant related funds available only through their office. For
our part, this letter, by way of copy, will request that the Assessor's Office and the
Sheriff's office pursue information on the potential purchase of the property, and report
back to the County Commissioners.
Knowing that the County is very interested in your offer, are you willing to postpone the
February I" deadline for sale to the public?
