RESOLUTION No. 2003 -051 -CC
A RESOLUTION relating to a supplemental extension in the 2003 budget of the CURRENT
EXPENSE FUND #001, JUVENILE DEPARTMENT #117, due to unanticipated state and/or federal
funds.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners that
unanticipated state and/or federal funds have been made available for the 2003 budget of the
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND #001, JUVENILE DEPARTMENT #117, in the amount of $29,939;
and
WHEREAS, RCW 36.40.100 authorizes supplemental appropriations from unanticipated
state and/or federal funds after publications of notice of the time and date of a public hearing at
which the supplemental appropriations resolution will be adopted, and the amount of the
appropriations, once each week, for two consecutive weeks prior to such public hearing in the official
newspaper of the county; and
WHEREAS, publication of the requisite legal notice was made in the Columbia Basin
Herald newspaper of Grant County on April 18 and April 25, 2003, and said public hearing was held
in the Grant County Commissioners Office, Grant County Courthouse, Ephrata, Washington;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that the 2003 budget
of the CURRENT EXPENSE FUND #001, JU VENILE D EPARTMENT # 117, supplemented and
extended in the sum of $29,939 unanticipated state and/or federal funds according to the following
schedule of categories and items:

GRANT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
On February 5 of this year, a contract was signed granting our department a maximum of $29,939 for the
purchase of services and supplies promoting our treatment intervention programs. The department is
responsible for financing 10%, or $3,327 of the program, in addition to this amount. This amount will be
taken from present budget funds within the supervision category. Also approved for this program is one
refrigerator to store consumables.
The grant binding will purchase rewards and incentives for the purpose of reinforcing positive and pro -
social belia -fors. The plan is for this project to increase client and family participation in research based
treatment programs. This, in tum, should lead to successful completion of community programs and
client satistIction with treatment interventions.
My request is for the addition of this revenue to our 2003 revenue. It will also be necessary to increase
our budget in the categories listed below:
