Commissioner Snead was in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Allison was out of the office. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the beginning salary of Chris W. Hoskinson of the Grant County Juvenile Probation Office at $1,816.80 per month, effective November 16, 2000. -/, ),/.y.�The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Dennis L. Haley of the Grant County Juvenile Probation Office to $2,576.70 per month, effective December 1, 2000. y -4-I4 3 Chairman Moore was authorized to sign the County and DSHS Agreement on General Terms and Conditions beginning January 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2005. IVJI.ly The Commissioners met with State Representative Joyce Mulliken to discuss the effect Initiative 722 would have on Grant County. Iq -�,The Commissioners held a Public Meeting regarding the request by Sandra Thompson for a Plat Alteration to combine Lot #32, Lot #33, and Lot #34 of Desert Aire No. 6, Replat No. 2 into one parcel. After due consideration a motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Moore that Resolution Number 2000 -151 -CC to uphold the Planning Commission recommendation approving the Plat alteration with findings and conditions as provided by the Planning Department be passed. The motion carried. /, )/ The Commissioners held a Public Meeting regarding the request by Vic Jansen for a re -plat of Lots 2 and 3 of the Franz Short Plat into four lots ranging in size from 2.32 acres to 3.36 acres in the Moses Lake Urban Growth Area. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Moore that Resolution Number 2000 -152 -CC upholding the Planning Commission approval of the request with findings and conditions as provided by the Planning Department be passed.. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until November 28, 2000. November 28, 2000 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding WSDOE Letter -Ephrata Landfill, Bid Award Recommendation- Patton/Loring Traffic Signal, Local Agency Agreement -Beverly -Burke Road, Westshore Drive Restoration -Moses Pointe, Sidewalk Ramps? 7The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher approval # 1 l -1 through 411-2 in the total amount of $21,608.73. 1- The Commissioners signed the letter awarding the Patton/Loring Traffic Signal bid to Colvico,Inc. at the bid price of $184,709. Z�2 y As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 1 1 /27/2000 in the total amount of $206,745.52. 1� i i 3o Commissioner Allison signed the Substantial Development Permit and Conditional Use Permit for the Moses Lake Estates Planned Unit Development, Phase I -Dune Lake Farms. 14,+13t The Commissioners received notice from the Public Works Director that Bridge #156, Fiess Road was built in accordance with the plans and specifications, and that all materials incorporated into the project met contract specifications. i �,-,-The Commissioners approved the request by County Clerk Kenneth O. Kunes to allow his employee Marcia Bush to take 3 days leave without pay in the month of December. ,ms's 3 The Commissioners approved the request by the Civil Service Commission Board Chairman David A. Canfield to do a transfer of funds allowing the purchase of a lap top computer for the Civil Service Department. /v„ /.31/ A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000 -153 -CC in support of the Ground Water Management Executive Boards recommendation to prepare a request for proposal entitled, "Determination of Hydro - Stratigraphy for Baseline Sampling Wells and Area Wide Hydro- Stratigraphic Mapping be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed the Request for Transfer of Funds from the Civil Service Department to Capital Outlay in the amount of $3,700 for the purchase of a laptop computer.
