Week of September 5, 2000
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. by Chairman Deborah Moore. All of the Commissioners were in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Teresa Hale of
the District Court Department to $2,289 per month, effective September 1,
2000.
<{ I 07 The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Melissa
McKnight of the District Court Department to $2,289 per month effective
September 1, 2000.
to The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Anastasiya
DeLeon of the District Court Department to $2,003 per month effective
September 1, 2000.
/`/ /.S T' The Commissioners agreed to lift the County wide burning ban due to
the change in weather conditions.
i �4 4�t, The Commissioners signed the Payroll Warrants list # 115732 through
#116336 for the month of August.
IU i j:^r As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 9/5/2000 in
the total amount of $815,667.75.
`4''/,) The Commissioners received a notice of intent from Gary Dominguez.
The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
11 The Commissioners received a Summons and Complaint from John E.
Clark, Jr. et ux. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for
handling.
N Il,v{ A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2000 -107 -CC stating that
Michael Jackson is no longer designated to provide the services of a
Designated Mental Health Professional be passed. The motion carried.
t� V io5 A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner
Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000-
108 -CC relating to a supplemental extension in the 2000 budget of the Grant
County P.A.R.C. Fund #115, Department #157 in the amount of $150,000
be passed. The motion carried.
l lll! The Commissioners received a Claim for Damages from John E.
Wyles. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
h41In'I The Commissioners received the signed Special Counsel Contracts for
the year 2000 and 2001 with Menke, Jackson, Beyer and Elofson, LLP.
/l-) 11-%� A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000 -109 -CC setting a Public
Hearing for September 18, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. relating to the facts requiring
an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current Expense Fund
4001, Boundary Review Board, Department #131 in the amount of $2,175
be passed. The motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until September 11, 2000.
