All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. +I{�sa-The Commissioners approved a request by Grant Mental Healthcare for Candice McGann Mathers and Eli Garcia to transport an individual to Kootskia, Idaho. The Commissioners were notified that rent on the Coroners Office would be increased to $575 per month, effective May 1, 2000. eE j fir, kf The Commissioners approved the request by the Grant County Juvenile Court and Youth Services Department for a budget transfer in the amount of $24,304. The Commissioners approved the salary increase to $2,862 per month for Megan L. Sursely of the Juvenile Court and Youth Services Department. The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Karen Y. Frett of the Juvenile Court and Youth Services Department at $6.50 per hour. 1 The Commissioners received a Claim for Damages from Karen Dano. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. /F/; The Commissioners notified the Accounting Department of the Sheriffs Department salary increases for the year 2000. 11 1,45 `I The Commissioners approved the request for a budget extension for the Directions of Community Living program. (14{1.�0 The Commissioners received a Claim for Damages from Mark W. Potter and Stacy L. Potter. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. 1 q llo l (A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000 -59 -CC setting a Public Hearing for July 11, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. in the matter of adopting a comprehensive six year transportation improvement program for the years 2001-2006 be passed. The motion carried. motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2000 -60 -CC regarding the PUD privilege Tax allocations be passed. The motion carried. motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2000 -61 -CC setting the salary for the Grant County Prosecuting Attorney be passed. The motion carried. 141 W�c/ A public hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2000- 62 -CC authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current Expense Fund #001, Courthouse Facilities Department #112 in the amount of $21,000 be passed. The motion carried. I b , � A public hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000- 63 -CC authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current Expense Fund #001, Assessors Department #107 in the amount of $10,600 be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until June 20, 2000. June 20, 2000 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Reimbursable Work-Hartline, `W' NE -l" Shot completed. Road open this date, `U' SW, Resolution -Hearing Six Year Transportation Program, Personnel. The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for bids on "U" - SW Road. Bid opening to be July 11, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. • E I ��7 The Commissioners signed a Request to the County Road Department for reimbursable work for the Town of Hartline. I I 1409 The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Leon Byrd of the Maintenance Department to $1,653 per month with full benefits. ]4,1 The Commissioners signed the GIS Consulting Contract with Marshall and Associates,Inc. J i !, rJ/ As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 6/19/2000 in the total amount of $554,484.63. I E I V/ I The Commissioners approved the request by AgFARMation for continued funding in the amount of $4,500. Itl (t- 7)- The Commissioners went into executive session with the Prosecuting Attorney at 2:45 p.m. for the purpose of discussing potential litigation. The meeting lasted 45 minutes and no action was taken. '-i The Commissioners opened the bids for County legal advertising. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Moore that the bid be awarded to the low bidder, the Columbia Basin Herald. The motion carried. !�+) l--/ I/ A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000 -64 -CC, Ordinance Number 2000 -64 -CC re -adopting an amendment to the Grant County Zoning Ordinance relating to permitted uses and restrictions, and other matters properly relating thereto be passed. The motion carried. The Grant County Commissioners set a Public Hearing for July 5, 2000 at 1:00 p.m, regarding a supplemental budget for the Juvenile Department in the amount of $69,933 from unanticipated funds.
