Week of May 15, 2000
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. by Chairman Deborah Moore. Commissioner Snead was in attendance
with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Allison was out of the office for
the day.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
Iy) a73 The Commissioners approved the request by the Grant County
Fairgrounds for the purchase of a mower in the amount of $13,000.
14/.57`% The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Marie M. Anaya
of the District Court Office at $1,477.60 per month effective May 10, 2000.
The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Patti Cabe of the
Cooperative Extension Office at $1,984.60 per month effective June 1, 2000.
I kjg�- Chairman Moore was authorized to sign the GMA Planning Contract
with Michael J. McCormick.
1y1Z77 Chairman Moore was authorized to sign the Interlocal Agreement
with Wilson Creek for the purposes of furnishing administration and
enforcement services to carry out the purposes of the State Building Code
Act.
14457V The Commissioners received a Summons and Complaint for damages
from Marietta Miller. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney
for handling.
iy Z79 The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Office for
the purchase of one Gem Top Canopy in the amount of $12,957.69.
iqis�/�JThe Commissioners were notified by Elvin L. Kulp, Area Extension
Agent -Chair that Christy Price would be acting chair from May 22 through
June 4.
114"1 A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000--52-c0 (A) allowing
employees to divert some of their accrued sick leave to the account of an
employee in the Public Works Department who is combating a serious
illness be passed. The motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was continued until May 16, 2000.
May 16, 2000
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners
in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
Contract Award -Asphalt Hauling Services, `K' SE/' 1' SE Contract
Execution-Hilmes Construction, `U' SE Supplemental Financial Agreement -
Construction Phase, Six Year Transportation Improvement Program -2000-
2005, Personnel.
/ 1--Z� The Commissioners signed the contract with Hilmes Construction,
Inc. for the K-SE/1-SE Rd project.
hl i i'3 The Commissioners approved the awarding of the Asphalt Hauling
contract to Okanagon -Seattle Transport in the amount of $0.0064 per cwt
per mile.
("fiaX`a The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Maria M. Delgado
of the District Court Department at $1,477.60 per month effective May 15,
2000.
( �/ I '5 As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 5/15/2000 in the total amount of
$354,518.70.
1i: W(., A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner
Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000-
53 -cc -A authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Current
Expense Fund #001, Interfund Communications Department # 129 be passed.
The motion carried.
! (e h 7 The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Laura Escamilla
and Lesa Francis of Directions in Community Living to support people with
disabilities in Hayden Lake, Idaho.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until May 22, 2000.
