COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS
Week of April 10, 2000
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. by Chair Deborah Moore. All of the Commissioners were in attendance
with the Clerk of the Board.
1,41,,137 The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Debbie G.
Stephens of the District Court Office to $1,925 per month.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Darlene Holman
of the District Court Office to $1,925 per month.
The Commissioners approved the salary of John W. Ricci of the
Sheriff's Office at $2,092.70 per month effective March 28, 2000.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Damien C.
Hooper of the Planning Department to $3,247 per month effective April 1,
2000 as the SEPA responsible Official.
A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000 -31 -CC in the matter of
unredeemed warrants be passed. The motion carried.
motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2000 -32 -CC re -adopting
Interim Official Controls in the Agricultural Zone, and other matters
properly relating thereto be passed. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2000 -33 -CC re -adopting
Interim Official Controls relating to the reasonable use exception, and other
matters properly relating thereto be passed. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2000 -34 -CC re -adopting
Amendments to the zoning Ordinance, amending the Residential, Suburban,
Planned Unit Development and Open Space Recreational sections of the
Grant County Zoning Ordinance to provide for rural and residential
development densities outside of designated Interim Urban Growth Areas
and/or Urban Growth Areas on the Interim Basis, and other matters properly
relating thereto be passed. The motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was continued until April H, 2000.
April 11, 2000
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners
in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
I ' / 4"` The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
10:30 Bid Opening (Asphalt), Contract Execution -Radio Consultant
Services, Plotter, Gravel Road Committee, Gorge Traffic Study, Personnel.
I 1 I �-,-,The Commissioners upheld the recommendation of the Public Works
Director and awarded the bid for asphalt material to Chevron Products.
(. 1 ,1t,,.,.The Commissioners approved the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher
Approval #3-1 through #3-192 in the total amount of $994,718.42.
I I,J 4,7 The Commissioners held a bid opening on Bituminous Materials. A
motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner
Allison to refer the bids to the Public Works Director for review and
recommendation. The motion carried.
1 1, I (-h The Commissioners approved the request by the Department of
Emergency Management to purchase a portable storage shed.
ik! I �l �`l The Commissioners appointed Belinda Carrow to a position on the
Grant County PARC Advisory Board.
i I ,i ,id The Commissioners approved the year 2000 salaries for Supervisory
or Non -Union personnel in the Public Works Department.
I } 14 '/ I A bid opening was held on the Grant County Justice Center
Dormitory Addition. There was only one bid submitted. A motion was
made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that the
bids be referred to the Maintenance Supervisor and Integrus for their review
and recommendation. The motion carried.
I I'! "Id, The Commissioners signed a Consultant Agreement with Spectrum
Communications.
1 `J ' 1 As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 4/10/2000 in
the total amount of $478,684.92.
1 Iq-I� The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for May 1, 2000 at 1:30 p.m.
regarding the proposed Preliminary Plat Application from Reza Firouzi,
Kenney Preliminary Plat, a Fourteen lot subdivision on approximately 31.11
acres in the Light Industrial Zone.
' ) The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for May 2, 2000 at 1:30 p.m.
regarding the proposed Preliminary Plat Application from Wolfkill Feed &
Fertilizer Corp.,Reza Firouzi. A twenty-eight lot subdivision on
approximately 36.54 acres in the Light Industrial Zone.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until April 17, 2000.
