Week of February 22, 2000
The Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with all
of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
Bid Award Recommendation -Fuel Purchases, Contract Execution -Loader,
RAP Submittals, N NE/Frontage Roads, Notice -Gravel Roads, 10:30 -Bid
Opening (Service Bodies).
Ik1VfiIThe Commissioners signed a contract with Western Power &
Equipment for the purchase of one Case 821 C Wheel Loader.
114,0- The Commissioners signed a contract with Wendle Ford for the
purchase of pickups.
The Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Public
Works Director and awarded the bids for 2000 Fuel Purchases to North
Central Petroleum.
14E l.:�f c/The Commissioners held a bid opening for Service Bodies. There was
only one bid received. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead,
seconded by Commissioner Allison that the bid be referred to the Public
Works Director for review and recommendation. The motion carried.
Iq f 3H ; The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Office to
purchase bunk beds and inmate dining tables from Law and Justice Funds.
1,0_. qF The Commissioners received the Notice of Separation of Benjamin
Trigg of the Grant County PARC effective February H, 2000.
1<4i.347 The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Cecilia Denise
Garza of the PARC effective February 17, 2000.
{ r ' i i The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Melissa J. Lucas
of the Juvenile Probation Department to $1,113.50 per month.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Linda L.
Southwell of the Juvenile Department to $2,154.00 per month.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Tammy Wiersma
of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to 100 percent of a Legal Secretary IV
effective February 1, 2000.
1 q 1 The Commissioners approved the request by the Juvenile Probation
Department to purchase a HVAC Air Handler out of Law and Justice funds.
lkILL__: A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000 -15 -CC regarding the
Ground Water Management Area public information and education budget
be passed. The motion carried.
1o 11 5 As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 2/22/2000 in the total amount of
$264,111.65.
y �,�s y The Commissioners received a letter amendment, extending the
expiration date of an Ecology Grant No. G9700217, Mid -Columbia
Watershed Planning Project. The expiration date of this agreement is
extended from December 31, 1999 to June 30, 2000.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was continued until February 23, 2000.

The session was continued with all of the Commissioners in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
lgljzz The Commissioners approved the salary for the Graphical and System
Coordinator in the Assessors Office at $2,978.65 per month effective
January 1, 2000.
�yi3a� A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by
Commissioner Moore that Resolution Number 2000 -16 -CC relating to the
establishment of a revolving fund for the Mental Health Care Department to
be called Special Care Revolving Fund be passed. The motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until February 28, 2000.
